Workers aren't as concerned as they were in previous years about losing their jobs and many are confident that the business outlook for the companies they work for is improving, according to a recent survey.

Just 15 percent of workers are worried about being laid off from their current positions, according to an employment confidence survey by the job search site Glassdoor. That's the lowest level since the fourth quarter of 2008.

But many employers aren't ready to start hiring again, according to the study, which included more than a thousand survey respondents. Only 18 percent of those polled said their employers have started hiring on a large scale, according to Glassdoor.

About 76 percent of employees said they've received new perks in the past six months, however, including flexible work hours and the option to work remotely, the poll found.

Many workers do seem optimistic about their companies' business outlook as well. About 40 percent of workers said the outlook for the companies they work for is improving while 9 percent said it's getting worse, according to the survey.
