Hacker Group Anonymous Wants Ben Bernanke to Resign Or Else…

Originally Published by The Business Insider's Courtney Comstock:

Anonymous has set its sights on Ben Bernanke. The most well-known hacker group, Anonymous, uploaded a video message to YouTube yesterday calling for Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke to resign, among other things.

The video begins with Bernanke saying he is 100% confident of his ability to control the income disparity in the U.S. -- the largest of any industrialized country in the world -- on 60 Minutes.

    Then it says:

"Democrats have failed us, Republicans have failed us... It is time for us to stand up for ourselves... We must fight back against the organized criminal class... We must launch "operation Empire State rebellion. The operation will commence on June 14th...Operation Empire State Rebellion Engaged."

Anonymous first called for Bernanke to resign on March 12. The group's latest YouTube video has this description:

In this new video release, "as a first step," Anonymous has called for public protests beginning on June 14th, continuing "until Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke steps down."

To make their case, they have presented a list of recent scandalous Federal Reserve actions. The group also provided a Google Map guide to a series of protests, aimed to:

-- "End the campaign finance and lobbying racket"

-- "Break up the Fed & Too Big to Fail banks"

-- "Enforce RICO laws against organized criminal class"

-- "Order Ben Bernanke to step down."

Here is more information about the Flag Day protest >

The movement has also been referred to as, "CTRL+ALT_BERNANKE."

The video was published the same day that the "major IMF hacker breach" was reported by the New York Times. Anonymous previously warned that it would attack the IMF on June 1st. However the IMF says the hack took place before the IMF chief, Dominique Strauss Kahn, was arrested for attempted rape on May 15. Someone familiar with the matter says that a foreign government was behind the attack.

I agree 100% , BOTH parties have sold us up the river, voting our way out of this mess is a joke. When corporations and mega banks give 100's of millions to campaigns, it's NOT a donation, it's an investment. If we the people want to retain our rights, the little wealth that we do have, voting our way out will never, ever work. Those that make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable.

        DOWN the river!

One may call this "terrorism", however, keep in mind that "terrorism" is not a reference to a particular organization, but a form of warfare, one which is utilized when the odds of success are very low due to the overwhelming powers against you. Also keep in mind that throughout history, "terrorists" have also been called "freedom fighters", especially when allied with the US. Perspective is everything.

Lies Abound, up OR down the river can be either good or bad depending on the river in which one chooses to reference, and the starting point at which one is "launched from". If one were to travel up river somewhere along the Zambezi they would inevitably encounter a large obstacle. Thus, ones perspective on the means of which, or direction of travel one would encounter a large impassable blockage of sorts is entirely up for interpretation, and there is no right or wrong answer.

The Central Bank is an institution of the most deadly hostility existing against the Principles and form of our Constitution. I am an enemy to all banks discounting bills or notes for anything but coin. If the American people allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation the banks and corporations that grow up around them will deprive the people of all their property, until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered.

You never hear Republicans citing THAT BIT of our history and Constitution. They knew @#$% well in 1913 it was Un-Constitutional when they formed and called it the "Federal Reserve". That's why Congress voted and enacted it at 2:00 A.M. in the morning.

Backed by the same type of GREEDY captains of industry as of today that ALSO WRECKED OUR ECONOMY!! These same ROBBER BARONS caused the Great Depression in their day and they are well on there way to doing it again. They Just buy our representatives and again the PEOPLE ARE PHUCKED!!!!

Add the Supreme (NOT) Court. Thanks to their Citizens United decision, the large corporations and multi-national corporations can now openly buy all elections.
They need to be disbanded as well.........way too much Political Power there for an organization that isn't supposed to be political but making decisions on the Constitution.
    • TimK  •  11 months ago
How many starving senior citizens does it take to pay one bankster 5 million dollar bonus? C'mon Ben I heard you were good at math. I reckon about 500 seniors need to starve to that bankster bonus out the door.
      • Logicalthinking 11 months ago
See what happens when people don't know or want to know about an issue? Take a look at SammyDarlin post. If he even bothered to READ what Ryan was suggesting he'd know that for everyone 55 and older THE CURRENT SYSTEM WOULD STAY IN PLACE.

We should take Ryans plan as a starting point to lower long term costs while protecting those who need to rely on the current system. It's not perfect but it IS a start but of course, one would need to read and and not throw out some rather good ideas because there is an "R" after the authors name.

Personally, I don't care where good ideas come from and would support anything positive from either the R or D people. But I wouldn't expect much from any of them.

We can't think of ourselves here, those 5th homes in the Caribbean aren't cheap now!
      • SammyDarlin 11 months ago
How many Ryan plans does it take for many, many seniors to starve, and die due to a lack of health care, or food over prescriptions or vice versa?
He's giving all the "savings from his cuts to the Corporations and Top 2%, almost to the dollar, and his plan actually increases the deficit.
Best congress the Lobbyists and their wealthy patrons can pay for. Thank you Koch Brothers, et al.

The hackers are certainly correct in their accusation that the central bank is a tool to move wealth out of the hands of the common people and into the hands of the rich and powerful. Several past Presidents shut down the bank because they understood this. We are playing a rigged game, so the hacker's attempt to cheat is justified.

There actually is something legal we can do to stop the Fed's easy money policy for big banks and greed street, we can all wake up and close our big bank accounts and open an account at a credit union. Big banks cannot be bailed out with our hard earned dollars, which go right into the execs pockets, without customers. Let them fail the legal way, and don't worry about your neighbor the big bank exec. He or she already has enough money to go without working for the next 10-20 years - might have to sell off the beach house or range rover at some point - gee don't you wish you had those kind of problems?

They've got pictures Ben took when he went into the Mint after hours and got naked with the money. Once those get out, he's finished.

If it wasn't for the monetary policy of CHEAP money issued by the FED we would not be in this trouble in the first place ... they knew what they were doing -- they were stealing!

"At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it? Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant, to step the Ocean, and crush us at a blow?

Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth in their military chest; with a Bonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years.

At what point, then, is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide." Abraham Lincoln

Yes JFK did and had new currencey printed before leaving for Texas. Well I'm no rocket scientist but I can connect the dots. And it all leads back to the FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM....

I agree with them......SEC is corrupted.....stock exchanges are runned by thieves....supported by federal reserve money......HAS TO STOP
    • Flint Lock  •  11 months ago
JFK tried to tell the Fed to stuff it, and return the power to issue our currency back to the Treasury (executive order 11110,), but it didn't work out well for him.

If you want Bernanke then you must bring down the Federal Reserve System and the 12 banks under it. I as an American cannot understand why we The People would allow this Privately owned corporation control our economy, money, & interest rates. Google it The Great U$ Fraud and Understanding the Fraudulent Federal Reserve Banking System. If this does not open your eyes then I don't know what will.

and for those of you who are stupid enough to believe that your vote matters i got news for you. it does not. they lie to get elected and if you vote them out the cronies who backed them put them up in a nice cushy corporate job where they still get to take part in the screwing of '' the people''. the only way to to change the system is by a violent overthrow of the govt. at least that is how history has shown it to work. this country was formed when a bunch of elites got together for a violent overthrow of the british because as they stated '' taxation without representation''. today they tell you that you have representation but do you really? answer yourself this question, when was the last time the govt did anything that made youre life better? ill answer that one for you, never.
    • John Allen  •  11 months ago
by the by, could anybody tell me what problem the govt has solved in the last 40 years? i cant think of any, unless you want to count the rich not having enough. education system in the toilet, medical system in the toilet, '' justice'' system is an oxy-@#$% in and of itself, and the financial game is rigged, and not in our favor. every year the politicians promise to take care of these problems only to hand over more control and profits to the '' elite.'' just how much is enough?

Got to love how the daily ticker botched this story. The show sound bites from the Anonymous video and then talk about them hacking the federal reserve. They do not talk about WHY they are hacking the Fed. To find out WHY Anonymous is against the Fed go on youtube and watch their videos and make up you own mind.

In the future can you guys actually talk about what matters like WHY Anonymous wants to go after the fed instead of hypothesizing how these hackers will hurt Bernanke.
