Priceline's outlook disappoints; Kinder Morgan unites; MannKind shares rocket

Here is a look at some stocks the Yahoo Finance team will be watching for you today.

Kinder Morgan (KMI) shares soared in early trading. The U.S. oil and gas pipeline company said it will consolidate its four publicly traded businesses into one single company in a $44 billion cash and stock deal.  The company said the master limited partnership structure became too unwieldy and reorganizing into a traditional corporation will give it more room to grow.

Priceline (PCLN) shares fell in the pre-market. The online travel agency reported earnings that topped analysts' estimates thanks to improved bookings, but revenue missed expectations. The company also forecast earnings for the current quarter will be below analysts' estimates, largely due to heavy spending on expansion overseas.

MannKind (MNKD) shares jumped before the bell after the company reached a licensing deal with French drugmaker Sanofi (SNY) to develop and sell inhaled insulin therapy Afreeza for adults with diabetes. The companies plan to launch Afrezza in the U.S. in the first quarter of next year.

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is also on investors’ watch list. The drug giant said it will begin human clinical trials of a experimental Ebola vaccine "later this year," pending approval from the Food and Drug Administration. The company is working with the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases which said human trials could begin as early as this fall. There is no known cure or vaccine for Ebola.
