Retailers are among the stocks the Yahoo Finance team will be watching today with a slew of corporate results driving stocks in the pre-market.
Dick's Sporting Goods (DKS) this morning reported fourth quarter earnings in-line with expectations at $1.11. Revenue came in just slightly above estimates. The company said same-store sales increased 7.3% for the quarter.
Urban Outfitters (URBN) reported mixed results for the fourth quarter. Earnings per share beat estimates by $0.04, but revenue missed. The company said it is "cautious" about its current quarter due to disappointing sales at its Urban Outfitters stores. Its Anthropologie and Free People brands have performed much better, seeing double digit sales increases in the fourth quarter while the Urban Outfitters chains saw sales decline.
And watch shares of Caesars Entertainment (CZR) today. The company is expected to report earnings after the close. Wall Street is expecting to see a much narrower loss of $1.49 a share, compared with last year’s loss of $3.75 a share. Analysts expect to see a slight gain in revenue. Last week, the company announced it would sell four of its casino properties to its spin-off Caesars Growth Partners for $2.2 billion. The deal is intended to generate cash for Caesars Entertainment to service its debts.
