General Electric reports better-than-expected earnings but will that translate to better returns ahead?

General Electric shares jumped 2.5% today after Citi added the stock to its focus list following better-than-expected earnings. Since the start of 2013, the company returned nearly $14 billion to shareholders in dividends and share buybacks. But, with the stock now at multi-year highs, is it too late to buy?
