The Exchange

Letter From the Editor: Nice to Meet You!

The Exchange

Dear Readers,

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for making Yahoo! Finance one of your daily habits. I also wanted to introduce myself: Last year I became Editor-in-Chief of Yahoo! Finance in addition to my ongoing role as a host of The Daily Ticker.

One of my first priorities as Editor-in-Chief was to recruit outstanding editorial talent. With that in mind, in October we brought on Michael Santoli as our senior columnist. A former Barron’s writer and frequent guest on CNBC, Michael is an award-winning reporter whose work can be found in his blog Unexpected Returns.

The staff of Yahoo Finance are also producing top-quality original content that’s housed in our blog The Exchange. The Exchange is updated daily and has a rich mix of news coverage and op-ed-style offerings from outside contributors such as PIMCO’s Mohamed El-Erian and other experts.

In addition, we’ve worked with our premiere partners at CNBC to develop some exclusive web programming, including Off the Cuff, Talking Numbers and, most recently, Big Data Download.

In terms of tools, we’ve upgraded the Message Boards, which have been streamlined to become more relevant and useful.

We’re incredibly grateful for your ongoing support and the passion you feel about the site. Whenever I’m at conferences or tell people where I work, I’m humbled by their enthusiasm for Yahoo! Finance. Many of those conversations often lead to suggestions for how we can do things better and different.

Every day, our goal at Yahoo! Finance is to help you make financial decisions with confidence, and I want you to feel equally confident that your feedback is being heard and your input is being taken into consideration.

Our Customer Care team is constantly monitoring the Feedback section of the site and I encourage you to use this channel frequently and liberally.

I want you to know that you have access to me and our editorial team so I encourage you to email me directly. Please use the subject line “YF Feedback” for your feedback and suggestions. I may not be able to respond to every email but I promise to read them and will be sure to share your ideas with the team here.

Thanks again and stay tuned to Yahoo! Finance for up-to-the-minute business and investing news tailored for you.

Sincerely,

Aaron Task

Editor-in-Chief Yahoo! Finance
