Rhonda Abrams is passionate about entrepreneurship. She writes about it, researches it, and lives it.

Founder of three successful companies and a best-selling author, Rhonda is currently the owner and "chief entrepreneur" of the Planning Shop, a publisher of books for entrepreneurs and a new line of books from the Better Business Bureau.

Her first book, "The Successful Business Plan: Secrets and Strategies," has sold more than 600,000 copies and is required reading in over 400 business schools. The foreword to "The Successful Business Plan" was written by her mentor, Eugene Kleiner, legendary founder of the venture capital firm Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers, who taught her how to develop and evaluate business plans.

She has written seven books focusing on business planning and entrepreneurship, including "Six-Week Start-Up, The Owner's Manual for Small Business," and her latest, "Successful Business Research: Straight to the Numbers You Need -- Fast!" Her books have been translated into many languages, including Chinese, Japanese, Dutch, Korean, Indonesian, Arabic, and Vietnamese.

Her depth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and dynamic style have made her a popular keynote speaker for conferences and meetings, as well as a frequent guest on television and radio.

Her real-life experience and broad view of entrepreneurship give her a unique understanding of the challenges and rewards of being an entrepreneur. She was educated at Harvard University and UCLA, and lives in Palo Alto, Calif.
