The data cover all transactions between residents and non residents settled through the credit institutions operating in Greece. The collection system is a closed ITRS based on banks' settlements reporting, supplemented by a frontier travel survey, and by direct reporting of resident transactors, including oil refineries, investment companies, mutual funds, brokerage firms and entities (e.g. multinational companies) not using resident banks for their transactions with non-residents; additional information from other administrative sources of the BoG and the Ministry of Economy & Finance is collected on financial account transactions.
