Hillary Clinton’s million little lies
By Michael Walsh November 28, 2015 | 2:26pm
To hear Hillary Clinton tell it, she was named for Sir Edmund Hillary, the conqueror of Mount Everest — even though she was already 6 years old when he made his famous ascent.
On a visit to war-torn Bosnia in 1996, she claimed she and her entourage landed under sniper fire and had to run “with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base” — although videos of her arrival show her waltzing serenely across the tarmac, waving to the crowd.
She blamed the 2012 attack on American diplomatic and intelligence-gathering installations in Benghazi on “a disgusting video” when she knew almost from the first moment that it was a jihadist assault that took the lives of four Americans, including the ambassador to Libya.
No wonder the late William Safire, writing in The New York Times in 1996, at the height of the Whitewater investigation, called her a “congenital liar.” Said Safire: “She is in the longtime habit of lying; and she has never been called to account for lying herself or in suborning lying in her aides and friends.”
Baron Munchausen has nothing on Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Now comes the recycling this month of another Clinton tall tale: that shortly before her 1975 marriage to Bill Clinton, she decided in a fit of patriotic fervor and dedication to “public service” to stroll into a recruiter’s office in Arkansas and join the Marine Corps.
It’s an anecdote she trots out to charm military audiences, whether it’s a group on Capitol Hill in 1994, or, most recently, to veterans in Derry, NH.
“He looks at me and goes, ‘Um, how old are you,’ ” Clinton recalled at the New Hampshire event on Nov. 10. “I said, ‘Well, I’m 26. I will be 27.’ And he goes, ‘Well, that is kind of old for us.’ And then he says to me, and this is what gets me, ‘Maybe the dogs will take you,’ meaning the Army,” she added.
Yeah, right. Never mind that the term is “dogface,” used to refer to the Army infantry. And never mind as well that, given the tenor of the times, the Marines or any other service would have taken young Ms. Rodham in a heartbeat, especially given their need for lawyers.
Like so many carefully parsed Clintonian statements, Hillary’s Leatherneck fantasy is either unverifiable or dependent upon how it’s phrased. When confronted with the obvious discrepancy in her “Edmund Hillary” story, she characteristically shifted the blame to her mother, Dorothy, saying the fable was something her mother told her.
But let’s assume for a moment that, unlike Clinton’s other whoppers, this story is actually, in some sense, true.
What are the odds that, in the immediate aftermath of Vietnam, the anti-war Wellesley graduate, who’d written her college senior thesis on “community organizer” Saul Alinsky, had a snazzy Yale Law degree, and who was already envisioning a career in state and national politics alongside Bill (then a candidate for Arkansas attorney general), would do such a thing — and actually mean it?
I’m betting zero.
A far more likely explanation is that Hillary entered the Marine recruiting office — if she did — not out of any desire to “serve her country,” but as an agent provocateur, determined to show that the Marines were a bunch of bigoted sexist, ageist pigs in order to fuel her sense of outrage.
This explanation is given credence by one of Hillary’s Fayetteville, Ark., friends at the time, Ann Henry, who said that Hillary was interested in probing the way the military treated women candidates. “I can remember discussing it, but I cannot give you the details of when and what was said,” Henry told a reporter. “Hillary would go and do things just to test it out, and I can totally see her doing that just to see what the reaction was.”
Given the mood of the time, and the vituperative nastiness of the left regarding all things military, it would have been just like the self-aggrandizing Hillary Rodham to try and manufacture a controversy where there was none, to make herself look good.

And now she allegedly recasts the story as a legitimate desire to join the military, to show her dedication to public service. Is the story true? And if it is true, were her motives as described?
What difference does it make!
The late Christopher Hitchens titled his memoir of the Whitewater/Monica Lewinsky circus “No One Left to Lie To,” but even someone as perceptive as Hitch couldn’t foresee that the Clintons, like cockroaches and the Kardashians, would always be with us, forever playing the same shell game on the American people and laughing as we fall for it.
That would be the same Clintons (combined current net worth: $101 million) who were “dead broke” when they left the White House.
dickw, now even Trump is getting ready to disagree with you (and himself) on thousands and thousands celebrating in Jersey City.
Are you getting ready to do the same? (give us a warning when you are about to do it)
DONALD TRUMP REFRAMES CLAIM THAT MUSLIMS CHEERED 9/11
‘Worldwide, the Muslims were absolutely going wild’ after the attacks, said the Republican presidential candidate
The Guardian / 28 November 2015
The REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE DONALD TRUMP ON SATURDAY REFRAMED HIS CLAIM THAT HE SAW MUSLIMS IN JERSEY CITY CHEERING THE ATTACKS ON THE TWIN TOWERS OF THE WORLD TRADE CENTER IN MANHATTAN ON 11 SEPTEMBER 2001, BY ASSERTING THE SENTIMENT WAS SHARED WORLDWIDE.
TRUMP CAME UNDER FIRE A WEEK AGO FOR SAYING AT ANOTHER RALLY AND IN A NATIONALLY TELEVISED APPEARANCE THAT HE WATCHED THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE IN JERSEY CITY CHEER AS THE TOWERS CAME DOWN. FACT CHECKERS DEBUNKED HIS CLAIM.
In the aftermath of the attacks in Paris two weeks ago, Trump has been among the most vocal of the Republican candidates in raising skepticism about Muslims living in the US. Prompted by a reporter, he said he would not oppose creating a national database that tracks Muslims in the country.
THE CONTROVERSIAL REMARKS MAY BE TAKING A TOLL ON TRUMP, WHO SAW HIS SUPPORT IN REUTERS/IPSOS OPINION POLLING OF REPUBLICAN VOTERS NATIONALLY TAKE A SHARP DOWNTURN. IN THE PAST FIVE DAYS, HE DROPPED 12 POINTS FROM 43% TO 31%, ALTHOUGH HE CONTINUES TO HOLD A WIDE LEAD OVER HIS COMPETITORS.
Trump used ample time in his remarks to point out how far ahead he is in opinion polling in many states, and he defended his recent commentary.
TO BACK UP HIS CLAIMS OF SEEING SPECTATORS CELEBRATE 9/11, THIS WEEK TRUMP CITED A 2001 WASHINGTON POST ARTICLE ABOUT AUTHORITIES DETAINING PEOPLE WHO HAD CELEBRATED THE ATTACK ON ROOFTOPS WITH VIEWS OF THE SITE.
The article, since corrected, was written by Serge Kovaleski, who has a disability and now writes for the New York Times.
IN HIS SPEECH ON SATURDAY, TRUMP SOUGHT TO DISTANCE HIMSELF FROM APPEARING TO HAVE MOCKED THE REPORTER DURING AN EVENT ON TUESDAY NIGHT.
“I WOULD NEVER MOCK A PERSON THAT HAS A DISABILITY,” TRUMP TOLD THE CHEERING CROWD. “I’M TELLING YOU, I WOULD NEVER DO IT.”
You failed to mention Richard that every Communist country is governed by a brutal, ruthless dictator who rule though terror, fear and mass murder and that the vast majority of the Communist population lives in crushing poverty.
LOOK OVER THE DESCRIPTIONS OF THE FOLLOWING TWO HOUSES AND SEE IF YOU CAN TELL WHICH BELONGS TO AN ENVIRONMENTALIST.
HOUSE # 1:
A 20-room mansion (not including 8 bathrooms) heated by natural gas. Add on a pool (and a pool house) and a separate guest house all heated by gas. In ONE MONTH ALONE this mansion consumes more energy than the average American household in an ENTIRE YEAR. The average bill for electricity and natural gas runs over $2,400.00 per month. In natural gas alone (which last time we checked was a fossil fuel), this property consumes more than 20 times the national average for an American home. This house is not in a northern or Midwestern "snow belt," either. It's in the South.
HOUSE # 2:
Designed by an architecture professor at a leading national university, this house incorporates every "green" feature current home construction can provide. The house contains only 4,000 square feet (4 bedrooms) and is nestled on arid high prairie in the American southwest. A central closet in the house holds geothermal heat pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300 feet into the ground. The water (usually 67 degrees F.) heats the house in winter and cools it in summer. The system uses no fossil fuels such as oil or natural gas, and it consumes 25% of the electricity required for a conventional heating/cooling system. Rainwater from the roof is collected and funneled into a 25,000 gallon underground cistern. Wastewater from showers, sinks and toilets goes into underground purifying tanks and then into the cistern. The collected water then irrigates the land surrounding the house. Flowers and shrubs native to the area blend the property into the surrounding rural landscape.
HOUSE # 1 (20 room energy guzzling mansion) is outside of Nashville, Tennessee. It is the abode of that renowned environmentalist (and filmmaker) Al Gore.
HOUSE # 2 (model eco-friendly house) is on a ranch near Crawford, Texas. Also known as "the Texas White House," it is the private residence of the President of the United States, George W. Bush.
So whose house is gentler on the environment? Yet another story you WON'T hear on CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC or read about in the New York Times or the Washington Post. Indeed, for Mr. Gore, it's truly "an inconvenient truth."
"Personal wealth",, got any money Elk,, or are u saving up to give it all to those poor little Syrians when they come over,, you are a real piece of work,,
Re: "If you didn't at least read that last part, then you are a real idiot,,C"
Why Obumdope? Was it about a real big tough talking and acting guy who discovers he has fallen head over heels in love with his Big Gun?
Good reference, dickw. Everyone would also watch the documentary of the same title. It shows how leaders hold up high sounding principles to unify those under them supposedly, in this case, for the cause of Communism or, as in other cases, supposedly for Free Market Capitalism even as they ignore those principles in a relentless and ruthless quest for personal power and, often as well, personal wealth. Sad it is.
Following is an explanation of Communism for those who were too young to remember the Cold War. Be aware of the political hucksters and stay informed.
Communism is a social structure and political ideology in which property is commonly controlled. Communism (written with a capital C) is a modern political movement that aims to overthrow capitalism via revolution to create a classless society where all goods are publicly owned. Karl Marx posited that communism would be the final stage in human society, which would be achieved through a proletarian revolution and only becoming possible after a socialist stage develops the productive forces, leading to a superabundance of goods and services.
"Pure communism" in the Marxian sense refers to a classless, stateless and oppression-free society where decisions on what to produce and what policies to pursue are made democratically, allowing every member of society to participate in the decision-making process in both the political and economic spheres of life.
In modern usage, communism is often used to refer to Bolshevism or Marxism-Leninism and the policies of the various communist states which had government ownership of all the means of production and centrally planned economies. Communist regimes have historically been authoritarian, repressive, and coercive governments concerned primarily with preserving their own power. Episodes included: 1. Red Flag, 2. Fallout, 3. Brave New World, 4. Great Leap Forward, 5. Guerrilla Wars, and 6. People Power.
2016 REPUBLICAN CONTENDERS SILENT ON PLANNED PARENTHOOD SHOOTING
But they did have something to say about Black Friday gear and Obama's foreign policy.
Alana Horowitz Satlin | The Huffington Post | 11/28/2015
Republican presidential hopefuls were noticeably silent about a fatal shooting that took place at a Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs.
All three of their Democratic counterparts tweeted in support of the organization during and after Friday's attack, which left three people dead and nine others injured.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz was the only one of the major GOP candidates to comment:
Praying for the loved ones of those killed, those injured & first responders who bravely got the situation under control in Colorado Springs
Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul instead tweeted about his own Black Friday sales:
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush published an opinion piece about Obama's foreign policy:
Donald Trump spent the evening (and Saturday morning) touting upcoming campaign events and complaining about a New York Times reporter.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio tweeted about his campaign's new cold-weather gear:
Ben Carson was off Twitter and in Jordan visiting a refugee camp.
All of the major 2016 Republican hopefuls describe themselves as anti-abortion. Some, like Paul, Rubio and Cruz, have attempted to strip federal funding for Planned Parenthood, citing heavily edited videos that emerged earlier this year claiming to show the nonprofit's employees selling fetal tissue for profit. A congressional inquiry into the videos did not find any evidence of wrongdoing.
Earlier this year, Rubio wondered why more Americans don't get "fired up" about Planned Parenthood's "dead babies."
Police said Friday that they did not yet know the shooter's motive, or whether he was specifically targeting Planned Parenthood.
A Texan's viewpoint. (AND MINE HJR) Simple and accurate. (If you don't like it, T.S)
As long as we insist on maintaining the "moral high ground", we will NEVER win the war on terrorism! We're in a conflict which we absolutely INSIST in playing by the rules - against a maniacal group who have NO rules!
Rattlesnake Logic in dealing with terrorists.
After the Boston bombing the news media spent days and weeks trying to determine why these men did what they did. They want to know what America did to make these brothers so angry with us.
They want to know why these men were not arrested before they did something so terrible.
The media is in a tizzy about this new era of homegrown radicals and about why and how they can live among us and still hate us.
A Texan explained it:
Here in west Texas , I have rattlesnakes on my place, living among us.
I have killed a rattlesnake on the front porch. I have killed a rattlesnake on the back porch.
I have killed rattlesnakes in the barn, in the shop and on the driveway.
In fact, I kill every rattlesnake I encounter. I kill rattlesnakes because I know a rattlesnake will bite me and inject me with poison.
I don't stop to wonder WHY a rattlesnake will bite me; I know it WILL bite me because it's a rattlesnake and that's what rattlesnakes do.
I don't try to reason with a rattlesnake or have a "meaningful dialogue" with it. I just kill it.
I don't try to get to know the rattlesnake better so I can find a way to live with the rattlesnakes and convince them not to bite me.
I just kill them.
I don't quiz a rattlesnake to see if I can find out where the other snakes are, because (a) it won't tell me and (b) I already know they live on my place. So, I just kill the rattlesnake and move on to the next one.
I don't look for ways I might be able to change the rattlesnake to a non-poisonous rat snake. I just kill it. Oh, and on occasion, I accidentally kill a rat snake because I thought it was a rattlesnake at the time.
Also, I know for every rattlesnake I kill, two more are lurking out there in the brush. In my lifetime I will never be able to rid my
place of rattlesnakes.
Do I fear them? Not really. Do I respect what they can do to me and my family? Yes!
And because of that respect, I give them the fair justice they deserve. I kill them. As a country, we should start giving more
thought to the fact that these jihadists' are telling the world their goal is to kill Americans and destroy our way of life.
They have posted graphic videos on the internet showing them beheading Americans. They are serious. They are exactly like rattlesnakes. It is high time for us to start acting accordingly!
I love this country. It's the government I'm afraid of! Why? Look who's new in the White House!

Rashad Hussain, Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC)
Salam al-Marayati, Obama adviser and founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council and is its current executive director
Imam Mohamed Magid, Obama's Sharia Czar from the Islamic Society of North America
Eboo Patel, Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships
This is flat-out scary! The foxes are now officially living in the hen house... Now ask me why I am very concerned! Do you feel OK with this? How can this happen? - and when will we wake up? We are quiet while our country is being drastically changed!
dickw, why did you leave the Republican Party and become independent? Trump, Santorum, Huckabee, Cruz, among others are still members of the republican Party.
Re: "... As for my vote. It will go to the least worst candidate and I'm sure you know who that will be. ..."
No dickw, I have no idea who you would accept as the least worst candidate. Who is it?
DONALD TRUMP UNLEASHES A VICIOUS WAR TO CONTROL THE MEDIA
November 26, 2015 / LU / Samuel Warde
Last Tuesday Trump’s campaign staff members blocked reporters from leaving their barricaded work area, designated as “the pen” by Donald Trump’s campaign. The Washington Post reports that:
After CNN reporter Noah Gray left “the pen” to document a group of protesters who unveiled a sign reading “Migrant lives matter,” Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski turned to campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks and said: “Hey: Tell Noah, get back in the pen or he’s f—— blacklisted,” according to a recording of the incident.
Then, last Thursday, an aid to Trump barred Buzzfeed White House reporter Evan McMorris-Santoro from a campaign event in Newton, Iowa. McMorris-Santoro was not only barred from the event as a member of the press, he was barred from entering as a private citizen. In a series of tweets, he explained:
Welp, I’m adding “barred from Donald Trump town hall in Newton Iowa” to the ol list of career accomplishments. I asked the Trump camp for credentials several days ago. Never heard back. So I came out to Iowa to check things out. At press table, Trump aide looked at my WH and Hill creds, called Trump camp to see if I could be let in. 10 min later, the answer: no. I asked if I could just go in as a citizen (I had been checked out by the secret sve already) and was told no again. I was not to enter. And so I left. Now I’m in Newton IA hanging out. Summary: barred from a Trump event is off the bucket list.
According to The Washington Post, the Trump campaign has been actively barring other media outlets as well.
The campaign has also declined to give credentials to reporters from news organizations it has deemed unfriendly. THE LIST INCLUDES BuzzFeed, the Huffington Post, Fusion, Univision and THE DES MOINES REGISTER, THE LARGEST PAPER IN THE STATE HOLDING THE NATION’S FIRST CAUCUS. The latter says it has been KEPT OUT OF TRUMP’S EVENTS AS A RESULT OF AN EDITORIAL THE PAPER PUBLISHED IN JULY URGING TRUMP TO WITHDRAW FROM THE RACE.
There are also wide-spread accusations of reporters being threatened by the Trump campaign. As The Washington Post reports, reporters “clashed” with Trump’s campaign manager, Lewandowski, and Trump press secretary Hope Hicks last Friday at a campaign event in Spartanburg, N.C. The reporters claim they were ordered back to the “press pen” under threat of losing their press credentials after attempting to interview voters.
There is also the incident this past August when Trump had news anchor Jorge Ramos, who works for Univision and Fusion, thrown out of a campaign event. ABC News reports that Trump repeatedly told Ramos to “sit down” after he tried to ask the candidate about immigration during the event in Dubuque, Iowa.
Trump was heard telling Ramos: “You haven’t been called…go back to Univision” moments before he was led out of the event by security.
The list goes on and on….
Yes, Obumdope, and we can thank God that Donald Trump will stay right on message and say that as President he will have to consider and probably will act on the need to have, at least, all White Christian males (and possibly all Christians) put in a registry and made to carry IDs identifying their religion and, as well, he will have to take a close look at Christian Churches and may have to close some of them.
Well Elk, believe it or not, I agree with your political analysis. It certainly is a cause for concern. Don't count me as a Republican, though, because I have moved from there to a conservative independent position. This is due mainly to people like John McCain, a RINO for sure, and others like him who really control the Republican party. I realize this does not bode well for the Republicans, but in order to heal this rift the RINOs must shift more to the right or else they will forfeit the election. As for my vote. It will go to the least worst candidate and I'm sure you know who that will be. There are very few things we can agree on, but this is one. If the RINOs are smart, they will adjust accordingly. They hold the fate of the next election in their own hands. We will see.
Obumdope, everyone knows and now you can look it up (I know that's too much work for a loafer like you) the fracking industry took the jobs away from coal. [I have to admit your doing a good Trump job of continuing to lie and lie no matter how absurd your lies become.]
Seriously, obumdope, after seeing so many totally devastated regular folk in WVa and knowing about the corruption of the coal companies including their horrendous abuse of their own employees how do you allow yourself to defend it.
Again, what happened to your humanity? In fact, how can you allow yourself to fully enjoy your beautiful lake right in WVa without a thought about the so many regular folk who have had their beautiful nourishing mountain forests, rivers and streams not just shredded but also turned into producers of pollution and poison that ravage the landscape and, worse, their very bodies.
You apparently have little sympathy because those suffering are just little regular folk not being tough talking authoritarian figures and though they may be corrupt and not at all following the rules they espouse they still, most importantly, will be willing to send other peoples children to any war they can pull out of the hopper.
So forget those suffering little low on the totem pole folks. You're doing ok. You, in fact, can go out on the lovely lake in your big boat and actually shoot fish. And then if you scrape out the lead from your own bullets they will, perhaps, have no pollution in them at all. That, I think, means we would have to say that means, despite all your protesting .... I mean if you can catch and eat unpolluted fish out of your own lake that would seem to mean you are not a real West Virginian, i.e. you are living in a very un-West Virginian part of the state.
And, again, Obumdope, when are you going to get around to telling us what happened to your humanity? Did it become totally crushed by the big truck, big boat, big gun, big tough talking, big Trump heroizing part of you? Now that Trump-style is holding the floor you can tell us the truth, tell it like it is.
