The BS sucks: The rating is single B at the rating agencies and the sponsors are being forced to take their dividends in new shares lest the company be forced to cut its payout to the amount they are actually generating. The small differentials in gas prices between different regions and between peak and off-peak seasons is hurting profits.
Liza, I know you are not high on NG. I do not share you view 100%. The US NG market lacks demand, this the primary reason why the price of NG is 1/3 the price in Europe and 1/5 the price in Asia. Are you aware that the Sothern California nuclear power plant will be permanently shut down. The 2,500 MW will be replaces with NG power plant. OK 30% of the 2,500 MW must come from renewables. None the less NG will be in demand. California has mandated that all old NG power plant must be up dated to more efficient power out put. That another 1,200 MW of power from NG. California will burn more NG soon, 1 to 2 years from now. There are 5 LNG trains that have construction permits in the US. Many refineries are up dating with hydrocracker to increase diesel out put, which use NG. I am not turning off NG as an trading opportunity.
Agreed but the balance sheet looks good, the potential conversion to NGL storage in Lake Charles, low interest rates and the potential for rapid energy changes in the coming world recovery.....all along with a healthy, secure dividend to soothe my present wants seduced me to take advantage of today's pullback!!
