I wouldn't short NKE, but buying puts is definitely a good play. Right now, the stock is 11-12% above its price before earnings. Their quarterly results were impressive, but they don't warrant such an appreciation. At the present time the stock offers limited upside compared to its downside.
If your out then why are you wasteing your time posting. Oh Iknow because your short!!!!!!!!!!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I don't need the namecalling...I am just saying that if you profited in recent days from the earnings play, you may begin to see some downside here.
That’s what nitwits like you have been saying for years and years. I've been a holder for more than 15 years and my cost basis is somewhere around $5. Whenever I or someone in the fam need some new Nikes I just sell a share or two. Nike long and strong.
Did you take them back to the retailer where you bought them? I doubt you took them back to "Nike." Call the retailer store manager and try to get the ability to return or exchange them (over the phone) before you go back to the store. I'm out of NKE now and with those pumps that say "now" is the buying opportunity (early or midweek last week was, not now) I'm tempted to short NKE, but likely won't do it, at least not today. I know I won't be long NKE at this price, though. It was a good report, but isn't that already in the price, especially now?
I took them back to Nike and was told what do you expect, you used them for 4 months. I pointed out I rarely wore them. Nike is ruining their once good brand in the name of profit.
