Hey Patch - I think I was in a cloud once or twice, but it wasn't ANY old cloud!!
I did try to LOOK for you on Tuesday, but you might have been missing in action??
me2, just fyi, and these are no big secrets, my "likely to be a potential take out" plays include INSY, MDVN, and BMRN.
My biggest movers have been the smaller caps with fast rev growth, EGRX, ANIP, AMAG, LCI, AKRX, and my big winner, HZNP, in that since 9.
As for PTX, just started a position a coupe days ago (I had been in and out previously), and I already have already dug huge hole!!!
Just FYI, GL, and if I sold the MNTA today, I would still have a good profit!! But I didn't...
RE: MNTA - The generic Copaxone news could still be carrying this one higher, but they also have a new $75MM ATM SPO.......... so it might drop back down again on a across the board bad day??
Also - I agree on small cap bios', 85% of my biotech $$$ (core) is in large caps!!
Except for the ones that will be "taken out" by big pharma - which is Patch's stated strategy for investing in them with trading $$$$.
mtheis , If you dont mind Im a new trader with a question. I was reading about the sale of 130 mil in senior notes. Is that the reason for the recent decline because they are considered additional debt? What time frame would you expect a turn in the other direction?
MNTA a mover, were they at the conf? Or just other good news?
Small cap bio is dead money these days...I have some IDRA, it's depressing.
Interesting - We were both in HALO at the same time last summer (8 or 9ish) and then it flat-lined.I guess my Magic 8 Ball needs to go to the repair shop! :-)
Hey Patch - I be waiting for the Captain & Tenielle to receive bad news from the FDA, an over-reaction drop, and a quick day trade. Might happen.
debt scares people, plain and simple. Unless you have studied finance, either formally or informally, the word "debt" has a negative connotation. Most people don't realize that debt, when used correctly, is a wonderful thing. The sentiment with PTX is that management has issued way too much debt and any shortfall will cause insolvency.
I personally think management WILL execute according to plan and when that happens this thing will fly high quickly...hang in there and average down if you haven't already.
The people talking of debt in this company have only one thing in mind, how to get the stock to drop because they are short the stock. If they have any brains at all they will cover here before they loose there shorts. Both literally and figuratively.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
did people talking of PTX debt take into account the further Zohydro rev. + the potentiality of pediatric label expansion of treximet? Or are they considering the old pipeline? Is it possible that the last disappointing QE could be episodic?
