"There isnt that much wealth just yet, to justify it reaching 1T"
What does wealth have to do with it? Market cap is nothing more than the price of the stock as awarded by the market on any given day.
I think you are confused that the entire issue of stock would have to trade for this wealth, which is not so. Momentum can carry the PPS to absurd levels (even with low volume) for any equity currently trading and Apple is no exception. It doesn't mean everyone paid that price. It simply means that this is the value of the stock at that specific time ... and what the actual value of the company is could be entirely different.
Rarely does the PPS and the associated Market Cap reflect the actual fair value of the Entity represented, and it requires nothing more than speculative momentum to drive it far beyond. Wealth has little or nothing to do with it.
I don't know if Apple will hit that 1-T market cap anytime soon ... I'm just enjoying the ride.
Yup, I bought at $400.Apple is currently fairly valued compared to the market.
The following are some current P/E's:
NASDAQ average 25.2
Apple still looks pretty good to me
On CNN Money...
'Mother load' of upgrades: But the new iPhone 6, which is expected to hit the shelves later this year and feature a larger screen, has the potential to be another game changer.
ISI Group estimates there are a whopping 200 million iPhone users worldwide who want to upgrade to the new model.
"We call it the mother load of all Apple upgrade cycles," said ISI Group analyst Brian Marshall. "There's so much wood behind the arrow that we think it will be a multi-quarter upgrade cycle."
Oh yes the Stock Market and Psychology.Investors who made a ton on Apple should look at The New Nokia and can make a ton more and the investors who were late to the Apple party well good luck with Apple stock.Long and strong since 7/12 .Apple and Samsung will be paying Nokia more free money soon enough :)
How many you bought? one option? Your loss will be $7 per option + exchange fee + broker's commission. By the way I wrote 105 puts last week. 10 options. I close 5 positions. Still holding 5.
When she talks when market hit all time high, that's not good.

At this late summer applications are up which means guys housing will be ready red hotty hot next year. Taketh my words for this. Then an expert on Bloomberg says last night "S & P 2350 by year end" and "bull market will continue". He said because (1)low int rates (2)no inflation (3)great quarterly results. I also sayeth to yo (4)low PE (5)great retail sales and profits (looks at our beloved aapl) (6)great housing (7)great confidence (8)great exports (ask me) (9)lower unemployment (ask me) and (10)I believe lots of former U.S. companies cometh back to the good OL USA to do business here rather than them communist countries and what not due to be scared of labor disputes, higher cost, lack of electricity and water and raw material. And don't forget rest of them folks are coming to the good OL USA too such as them Chinese, them India peoples, them Europeans and onwardy and onwardy I go. But who so going to tell them bean frogs in our country . Always putting our beloved country down just to show their importance and pocking their noses where their noses don't belong.
