Not too good at this are you p***y? Having just joined on the 20th I guess we can't expect any real entertainment out of you. So why don't you quit "trembling" and crawl back in there by your clitoris? Or better yet the rock that you came out from under.
Member since... today. Surprise, surprise. In the interest of YOU having a better, more fulfilled life, I'm taking 30 seconds out of mine to encourage you to stop wasting you time. No one here will ever take you seriously with that handle.
Fellow shareholders that got in at 17 or 18 are in a different boat than those that got in at 2 or 5 or 10. We all got caught up in the hype... Don't pin your disappointment on folks who lost their shirts these past two weeks. I will be back, but it would be irresponsible of me to hold onto $18 shares when I can buy back in at $11 or $12 (or perhaps even less... We shall see). I wish you luck, and hope to see tremendous profit with you in a couple years. In the meantime, stay POSITIVE and encourage those who take an interest in GTAT to do their DD and make INFORMED decisions going forward.
It's possible maintaining the quality of sapphire used for initial testing proved difficult on the massive scale necessary for the tens of millions of phones.
It was trading around 8 +/- prior to the Apple deal, and before Merlin and Hyperion were ready for prime time, I mean how low can it really go.
It's almost 2015 though, it's time for this company to show orders and revenue, not just possible upside

For all you obsessed with sapphire, GTAT is imbedded as a global leader in an industry where demand is and will continue to grow at a massive rate.
Oh yeah! TC is betting on the come rolling the dice on more than a billion dollars! THAT IS SO FREAKING DUMB AND REALLY UNBELIEVABLE. IT IS BEYOND STUPID.
If you look at the earnings call, TG clearly says that the majority of the revenue & profit will be derived in Q4. Knowing that the iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus were coming out in Q3, GTAT's guidance is still accurate and means that they will achieve it (if not more!).
Sentiment: Strong Buy
The FUD you spout is beyond explanation. In a few just a few sentences you have called some of the best engineers in the industrial world stupid. Your logic is so foolishly flawed, that I don't even think you believe it. Get real will ya?
Sapphire screen protectors are in works at GTAT. Making Sapphire a part of apple phone screens may not be turning out as cost effective and might be dwindling apple profit margins but selling Sapphire as an accessory item could work out well for both companies. Apple may very well reveal this in their Oct. They have done it before, remember smart ipad cover. JMHO

Levitas is wishing in one hand and doing droppings in the other. Sapphires, unlike the big gorilla, are produced in big blocks called boules. It does not come out of the furnace melted then poured on flat surface to make thin sheets out of it. Just imagine the cost of slicing the second hardest material into thin sheets, then grind it to smoothness and polish it for clarity. Watch videos on how diamonds or sapphire are turned into a jewelry. To make a two layer laminate out of it , it has to be sliced thinner. The cost of producing one screen is not only doubled but tripled, the cost of laminating it. Now, would laminate exhibit the same characteristics that AAPL love about a single layer sapphire? Does the technology already exist or we are still waiting for a miracle? If the technology already exist or performance is the same or better, then why didn't GT or AAPL use it?
It is even surprising to learn that Apple iWatch "SPORTS" version would not come with sapphire. What does that tell you about the durability of sapphire??
So basically GT is floating dead in the water. We all know that AAPL spends billions in R&D annually. A billion is pocket change to them. But the good thing about this expense is that it was a LOAN and GT has to pay back AAPL for it.
