We know there's a seller in there TFC?S fund (short sider) Worse, case scenario here is the company get sold at these levels. And the best world is Reed's turns into a earnings machine-post spend to launch brands!!
The last trade at 4:00:00 was for $6.74. It was then reported that 800 shares traded at $6.68 shortly after 4:00 pm. However, the best bid remained at $6.69 during that whole time. Where did the $6.68 come from?
A few minutes later, 3700 shares traded at $6.7499.
Of course, $6.68 is supposedly the official closing price. Somebody is definitely painting the tape on this one.
Can't post a direct link, but go to the Reed's website and click on Investors.
Click on the Reed's Investor Presentation (PDF) about halfway down.
Just read it over, it looks very nice. The slides at the end charts are extremely interesting. They offer approximations on the revenue, gross profit contribution, and SGA as a % of sales.
2013 Revenue EST: $37.5M (so estimating $9.77M in Q4)?
Long term debt rose $2.2M from $113.1M to $115.3M.
Current long term debt rose $800K.
What were the "Other liabilities" that they reduced by $10.5M?
listen or read the investor conference they attended yesterday. They had hedged corn but that ended after last Q, so now they are reaping the crush spread. Ethanol is up 40% in a month and there are 10 other tailwinds too, but I'll let you rummage through it for your piece of mind. going much higher. Their plants are worth 500MM alone. Only West Coast ethanol producer.
paid down 8.5MM this qtr alone....they sell 1 billion gallons of ethanol and margins just rose 50 cents. can you do the math?
I had it… tastes really good, so must be made by Reed's. I think this is just a Holiday type item, but TJ's moves an incredible amount of product and has great exposure, so it should open more people to ginger brew in general.
That's 100% Reed's.
"So the exciting thing about that is the data for this quarter swing-top products kind of went through the roof for us. And as we tool up the plant to be North America's only automated swing-top facility it gives kind of nice edge with the large supermarket chains that are looking at the specialty packed to come out of people like us.
And I will predict something while we are way up this third quarter over last year, we are going to be way up next year. I have a spot thought for those old styled European bottles."
"Okay. So anyway there is some additional business this year over last year in private label."
I'll bet you a dollar Reed's makes that for Trader Joe's, they buy tons of the branded Ginger Brew and it would only make sense that they would have Reed's make the Private Lable product as well.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Trader Joe's is advertising a 750ml swing-top bottle of Triple Ginger Brew in it's newest add.
From their website:
We’re big fans of ginger here at Trader Joe's. From Gingerbread (Mix) to our oh-so-popular Triple Ginger Snaps, ginger is a flavor that always leaves us wanting more. And more is what you'll get from Trader Joe's Triple Ginger Brew.
We've always done well with ginger brews -- meaning, we've sold vast amounts because, apparently, you really like ginger brew. One comment we heard over and over from ginger aficionados was this: more ginger. So we set out to find just that. Problem was, we couldn't find it. So we had to create it. We worked hand-in-hand with our supplier and put this Brew through a number of taste tests. Finally, we got it right. The difference is a substantial amount of fresh ginger that's added during the brewing process, giving this lightly-carbonated, non-alcoholic drink a big bite -- perfect for ginger devotees.
Because Triple Ginger Brew is not your average soda, we knew we couldn't put it in an average package. Instead, you'll find Trader Joe's Triple Ginger Brew in an old-fashioned, emerald green, 750ml glass bottle with a swing-top closure. It's a bottle that lives up to the Brew inside. And our price of $2.99 a bottle lives up to our value of, well, value!
Rappers have no qualms in promoting alcoholic beverages but just like he's been known to do in every facet of his career, Murs is daring to be different.
The West Coast rapper whose albums include The Final Adventure and This Generation with fellow Cali native Fashawn, recently combined his talents with a bit of marketing for Reed's Inc. Kombucha beverage. Opposed to sodas and other colas, Kombucha is an organic drink that's brewed with spring water. The flavors include Goji Ginger, Cabernet Grape, Hibiscus Ginger Grapefruit and Coconut Lime.
Joining him on the campaign is DJ Dave a.k.a. the guy who made the "Whole Foods" parody song.
The promo song comes off a little corny but you can count the number of healthy things rappers promote on one hand, so a pass is generated. You'll also know how to pronounce the name fluently after just one listen. It's also available for free download
