That was a computer flash crash on Monday. I doubt we will see it again. Maybe if the market has a full 20% correction we might get close.
104.28 was the official open on Monday after it halted. I had a bid sitting at $105.48 and it triggered at $104.28.
Funny you posted this because I just put a order in at $93 before seeing your post. I'm not sure if it will happen but it can and we have seen that.
If you took profits at $134 to $140, you really have to look at these prices as a good long term buying opportunity. I wouldn't rush out today and buy unless your heavy in cash and looking to start a position. Personally, I am looking for those opportunities like yesterday to do the buying preferably below $110. I calculated fair value around $120 so I would like a good 10% discount to that before I start buying for long term. I did buy yesterday and flip it today for a short term gain. Mainly because I don't expect that one day 12% return to stick. It could get worse for the market from here, but no one really knows. that is why I suggest nibbling at CELG on any good sell offs.
You did better than me dividend didn't buy here yet....was locked into CVRR...averaging in this morning....take a look at it...cheaper oil and widening crack spreads...good investing to all....
Made a trade in CELG. I bought it yesterday at $104.28 and sold it this morning at $118.64. Nice 12% in 24 hours. I am still long my core position and plan to put back on a trade should we have another day like yesterday.
sometimes stocks need to go down to gather momentum we shall see
Bass's patent challenges don't look good. His first one was just denied by the PTO. I am betting each and every challenge he has put forth is going to be denied. Those worried about Celgene and others patents have less to worry about this afternoon.
Bass was shorting all the biotechs and then attempting to challenge drug company patents hoping to get them stripped so he could profit. He even setup a fund dedicated to shorting the drug co's. If the remaining challenges are all denied, and I expect they will be, that whole fund is going to have virtually unlimited losses.
That's a good idea. I exited the cheap long a little early, but then I made money on (just 2) puts I started in the middle of the day, but am now out of. IMHO tomorrow morning's CELG price is unpredictable.
