If you bothered to look at the history of declaration dates you would see that the second quarter announcement has come as late as May 14th. BTW, they just announced a .73 dividend.
Divi announced $0.73 for 2nd Q. mills....you feel better now ? aaaaaawwwwww. come to momma
Yours is the "Post if the Weak":). Hey dufus! A small time retail short like yourself might one day learn that posts don't move PPS. But ignorant posts make you look like a POS.
the big answers to your question...will they cut divvy??? if so? How much?
Joe, here is how quik, you can go from a zero to a hero or visa versa.. last week I had 14 $67. puts + 7 $67.50 puts that expired last Fri.. On Thurs.. I put the 14 in to sell at $1., the 7 in to sell at $1.45.. Low and behold! Cop dropped to $66.10.. They all sold.. By next day, whole lot won't worth but few hundred dollars... I put a bid in to buy 10 $67.50puts for this Fri..At .85. Missed them.. Wish I would have went ahead and payed .90 for them? Playing Monday morning QB is easy? But that $900.. is already worth about $2500.. And who knows what COP is going to do for rest of week?
I didn't check that.. I just checked last qtr. Whereby they declared 6 days after ER.. Actually I had decided they would cut divy maybe 50%? As they started yr with $5.1B cash.. By end of March they had burnt' thru $2.4B of it.. They started this 2nd qtr with $2.7B.. Connect the dots.. Anyway I bought me 10 puts on it... And mrPhil . You lose! But since it's your last $10.. You keep that money and buy yourself some lunch... I would never knowingly take a mans last $10. As far as divvy making stk price skyrocket..BS! Sure didn't have any effect on CVX or XOM? BTW: When deciding to buy a few puts on an oil Co.. I picked between cvx, cop + xom.. CVX don't have any problems.. I could see? XOM little short on cash, but making enough to cover their divvy.. Then we have COP? They are losing money.. Do they have enough cash to cover their divvy???? I hope you noticed.. In last 7 days analyst Increased COP loses for 2nd qtr from .05 to .07.. I sure don't know what oil prices are going to do or COP.. But have concluded.. COP could drop real fast? Worth playing a few puts? A little money. Could turn into a big ole Pile? I'll probably end up kicking the ole tin can down the st.. to hear a jingle.. Won't be anything in pocket to jingle.. Deal fast.. I'm hooked!!! To all the other joe six packs out there.. I bought 10 puts yesterday on DSX.. They report tomorrow morning... As I am playing with about $3K.. If I bet $1150.. of it.. Bet your sweet bippy? I have weighed everything out... Where the hell is that tin can!!
Only the small time's are shutting down & getting hurt. COP alive & well in the Bakken!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Watch NI, they are expanding their NatGas segment. The Former CEO of AEP is heading up the Gas Distribution Unit.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Bull sheet engulfing post ! COP is a sure thing long term and only a nimrod trader with a maxed out Margin account has any worry. Will be glad to take a few shares at $64 or $54 or what ever.
any bounce to 66 if breaks you even it's a gift! Going to 64. out and will stay out as I told you dividennd is a sell on the news and not expecting a dumb-money spike, but could happen and good exit because low 60s after the news could happen, (over 50% probability)
The last two Q2 Dividend Announcements were: 5/13/2014 and 5/14/2013.
Today's drop probably due to short selling and a few very ignorant stock holders. I added this evening and will add more as it drops lower. COP will have a edge on the other majors with refineries and midstream operations when oil recovers. Good luck to all non weasels.
I bet my last $10 Mills closed his short position today, knowing the Divy announcement would lead to skyrocketing PPS.

OConocoPhillips sports a dividend yield unrivaled
by any other independent E&P. Prioritizing the

the dividend is not cut if oil prices fall.
OA rebound in natural gas prices will benefit

why do you say "no div"? last year div wasn't declared until 13 May.
Why would anybody pay anything for it? When they could move their money to cvx or xom? Who are earning enough money.. Their divvy is safe.. I don't know where all COP earnings went, from when oil was over $100. per brl.. But they sure went somewhere? If you don't think they got bigger problems with oil at these prices, than paying a divvy.. Wake up and smell the roses.. This Co. could file for BK fast?? F what they say valuation of CO. is.. How much more money can they borrow?? With already $22.5B debt??? Cute little game, ain't it? Just don't get caught standing, when music stops... Sorry longs!! Truth needs to be heard..
