Why would they be scheduling a presentation to Gateway investment conf. in SF 9/6 if they are going BK? I have seen a similar short attack on BDSI last december. They drove the stock from 3 to .77, only to have a major announcement in Jan and have the stock go to 4.90. This may be the case here. There is a functioning healthy core to this business with expertise, patents and a major backlog you seem to forget.
Sentiment: Buy
The answer to this will be given to us all in time. If Digital sells the patents and keeps the money for corporate purposes, or if they pay back Tenor and Palm Beach Capital.
Digital does not have enough cash to go too much longer, so I don't think we will have to wait too long.
This doesn't say that they control the assets. They just have a right to get paid back from the whole company, not one division.
Some of those among the late bills, such as Textor’s, have since been paid.
Get your facts straight.

Actually, I'm not, I'm long.
My guess is that if this plays out, a big player is going to buy this for the technology; other scenario is it becomes producer and gets valuation like Lionsgate or Pixar or the other one is technology doesn't play out or gets preempted and it runs out of cash and crashes. I think odds tend to favor first 2 scenarios but more risk = more reward. Only buy if you can stand the risk
Sorry you can't analyze a company like this with just a calculator. If it were that easy every idiot would be a star analyst. The only explaination for you is that you are a without doubt a shorter.
sw995,
I really hope you did not invest because you feel investedjp is short.
I hope you invest because you feel the company will prosper and you will make money.
My opinion, is that the company has some very serious issues to resolve, others feel different.
The facts are the company is losing and is projected to continue losing. But who knows perhaps this Virtual Performance business will be a gold mine. In which case, you made a good investment.
I don't understand the economics of it yet, and I'm guessing both Maxim and Janney feel the same as they are recommending holding the stock as opposed to buying it.
To any objective reader of this msg board, its clear that investjp is a bit too excited about his excited tone in his bashing of ddmg.
Only a short could maintain this negative tone for so long. Bc otherwise, a character like investjp would be happy enough that didnt lose any money by not investing and maybe post once or twice that he thought this company's future was grim, and thats that. But he or she has (i dont assume investjp is a male, due to his or her feminine-like complaining) continued to post and complain and whine, as if he or she had something on the line, like, perhaps, puts?
Regardless, Investjp's naysaying whining is becoming more hollow with each repetitive sentence, and has actually convinced me to invest in ddmg. Thanks!
Company just got another $5.0 million from its major Shareholder, Palm Beach Capital (or one of their entities).
I have seen myself and others comment on this board that Digital is burning through a lot of cash, and some said even out of money.
This is very interesting as it also coincides with Digital getting an extension of from Tenor for their July reporting date to August 20th.
Now that date makes sense as they had negotiated a deal with Palm Beach Capital and Tenor to put more money in.
Downgraded to hold big deal that's what us longs are doing anyway - hold
I guess if you invest in 5 of these and one pays off and you make a lot of money great.
As for Digital, while I do look at the past, I'm not using it to extrapolate the future, I have been trying to understand the future, because in the end, that is what will drive stock price.
Looks like some of the analysts are struggling with this as well as the company got downgraded by 2 this week.
It's obvious you have an agenda and you don't know what you're talking about. You don't know who is going to buy into this, where the funding is going to come and where the technology is going to lead or resonate. This is obviously a speculative investment and the people who invest are playing the odds that one of these ventures is going to pay off big. But you certainly can't extrapolate the future from the figures from 1 qtr and if you try you're wasting your time.
Based on what I have read from Gilman, I don't think he has broken any laws, the only thing he has stated is basically public information.
If it was John Textor posting on the yahoo message board I deserve to lose all my dough. I think he is well aware of the legal issues. Plus, to what end would it serve to post? Really, do you think he cares about the posters here? I probably control more shares than everyone combined. FYI its 38K and I am the bid at 4.
Are you saying you know it is not him?
Or are you just surmising? I have seen him comment on boards before, but using his name.
If it is not him, he can just say no. If it is I think we are all entitled to know.
I think he's Banksy.
Or the boogeyman.
Or maybe Tupac.
Get real.
Mr. Gilman,
I have seen several references that you are a company insider.
Are you an insider? Are you John Textor?
Deferred revenue can be a very dangerous.
It can make a business profitable for GAAP, but have cash flow deficits.
In the case of Digital, we can talk about deferred grant revenue. This would imply they received the money (and spent it), but have not been able to recognize it as income.
I had a similar situation in my old business, I argued with the outside auditors on this very issue (and lost), end result company had huge book profits and no money.
As a matter of fact, I believe Digital restated their EBITDA in 2010 to account for grants received.
End result - it went bankrupt.
I've never heard of insurance covering fraud, but perhaps the settlement avoided an admission of that.
Still I would have thought the insurance company would have had to be involved in the settlement.
