You are so funny. ACT should be one hell of a company . It will go gangbusters UP after the buy out. ACT should take off. I am accumulating ACT on any dips. LOVE IT !! STRONG BUY
FRX submits a second NDA,this one if approved will be huge. ACT,and FRX,should do very well together, and when the deal is done, the share count will be less than 300 million shares. i should say if my math is correct thats what it will be.
Just lawyers looking for a hand out. They always do this #$%$. Also after any bad earnings report some lawyers starts a lawsuit. They must get some go away money or something just for making headlines
I don't think FRX is worth 25 Billion but that is just my opinion of course. But how if ACT is basically doubling its outstanding shares with this deal can it not go down??
I don't know. GS thinks it's a good deal for ACT. Yes, it's a big price - but FRX has characteristics that appeal to every drug company: a great sales force and huge growth predicted. I wouldn't be surprised to see a competing bid. Probably smart to take some off the table here - but, if you believe in GS's analysis, I have to think that other suitors are at least looking at FRX. Alternatively, someone might make a bid for ACT.
Just throwing out some facts and not trying to make a buck shorting this stock. ACT price target is $250. Worse case is the $86.81 offer of cash offer.
Thanks. Assuming of course that ACT does not go down from the current price to when the deal closes 1-2 months from now
Simple math Based on the 8-K for every 100 shares of FRX you will receive 47.23 shares of ACT when the deal is completed. Currently 47.23 shares of ACT are worth $10,326.68 or $103.26 per share of FRX
Don't get me wrong, I'm long a huge position from the low 30s, but I'm also cautious. Everyone's counting on someone to come along with a higher bid and make a fight out of it - well, I'm not there yet. IMO, they overpaid for us anyway, so I don't see a bidding war happening. Having said that, bring it on if someone is so inclined. :)
In any event, I've taken 1/3 off at $96.71. Let's see how it plays out.
Good luck to everyone.
Keep you're eye out for a competing OFFER. Merk-is shopping for a $$$ maker like Forest Lab's could be posted at any time! -geez-
looks like COCO is on the launching pad- Icahn has another winner here is he starts buying up blocks of COCO shares- and they have such a huge short position, Icahn loves to squeeze short sellers
that is why deregulation is bad for the public as a whole and anti=trust legislation was enacted in the 30's but the last 30 years big business has won in all areas. Welcome to corporatocracy !
