Yes but he 'neglected' to mention that IDN prevailed in seven of the nine claims and the case goes to trial on May 22nd. This is a long way from being over.
It's a free country, and you're entitled to your opinion. Mine is different, that's all.
Well I do not agree with that statement at all. If they lose the door is wide open for anybody to enter the market without fear of a law suit and I will become very difficult for them to stay competitive.
This is not a lawsuit story or investment. The lawsuit is a distraction, in my opinion, as even if they lose nothing changes. If folks are already violating what you consider to be your protected territory, losing the case just means the status quo doesn't change.
Total BS, there was no ruling on this or any other , I wonder if the guy( I guess it was a guy) must be short and about to get caught in a massive short move
Wow ...Shout out again great end of month...IDN is acting like it wants to be at $3 soon...breaking away from the buck and change... Soon a 2 buck chuck
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Judge released CLAIM CONSTRUCTION ORDER today and effectively rendered their patents worthless.
"The court agrees with IDScan and CONSTRUES this term as a means-plus-function limitation in which the function is “reading both human recognizable information and machine recognizable coded information from the document into the apparatus” and the structure is “a digital scanner or its equivalent, and one or both of a magnetic reader and a bar code scanner, or their equivalent.”
Guess what - Neither IDN nor IDScan do what the patent now describes. Neither company scans human recognizable information - IDN does not compare the human recognizable information captured from a digital scanner to the machine readable information captured from the barcode scanner.
So the base patent - 623 - which ALL the continuation patents are based on is Kaput!
