Economy is recovering slowly, so there is little need for expanding trailer capacity. However, current rolling stock is getting older and older, so soon, there will be a strong demand for replacements. I'm sticking with this stock.
Bashers - not a good stock to short.
they are diversifying their product offering, spreading their operations geographically and concentrating on margins. It's a sober and prudent approach to an economy that is only recovering slowly.
disappointing but the fundamental business looks poised for growth. It may take longer than forecasters thought when they started touting this stock in the beginning of 2013. Jim Cramer stinks.
This seems to be a typical trend for this stock. It drops in the weeks leading to earnings release, goes up just prior to the earnings release and fluctuates after the earnings release.
who cares about the number of trailers sold. Selling a million trailers a year means nothing if they don't make any profit on each trailer sold. I care about profit margin which has been improving over last few quarters and should keep improving as cost of materials like steel continues to fall.
This stock follows the volume of trailers sold 2011 they sold more trailers stock rose to 13.00 a share 2012 they sold less trailers the stock went down this year there not going to sell anymore trailers than last year ?this stock isn't going anywhere .Yes there more diverse but loaded with debt our the insiders buying shares??? All the smart money has been made on this stock.
Why don't you ask one of the 9 anal-lists that have an averaged price target of $14.50 this year? One is as high as $17. Based on your #$%$-sessment of the debt, then it looks like 20% of that has already been paid down early. Question, if the economy is growing 21/2% to 3% so far in 2013, then what are we moving those goods with????? Our imagination???? Our well over aged van fleets??? Have a nice day...
Dry van orders have peaked according to ACT and tank orders have fallen off of a cliff. With over $400M in debt what is it that you like about this company?
Time to re-accumulate ... Nothing has changed in this excellent company except that the shares are a greater bargain now than a week or two before ...
Cheers to fellow Longs,
Sentiment: Strong Buy
No news that I can see other than more assurance that with higher employment the economy is on track to continue improving ... These shares curiously respond to news out of China too ... economic strengthening there always seems to push WNC higher ....
Cheers to fellow Longs,
