I had my first pastry from La Boulange at Starbucks today. It was a Pumpkin Cream Cheese Loaf. The loaf was an actual small loaf (not a slice) - probably 3 inches by 1.5 inches. They heated it up and it was delicious. It was moist with a little bit of a crusty edge. I had my doubts, but I'm really impressed. I was also impressed with the selection of pastries. There was a croissant with summer berries (looked like raspberries and blackberries) that I would have loved to have tried. I questioned it before, but I think SBUX has a winner in these new pastries
