Someone on this board said it is foolish to short a bread company; it is the officers and their families currently selling FLO....they plan on having a Merry Xmas at the common shareholder's expense. With the market up 103 point on the Dow, FLO just kept falling. Insiders selling their stock options and you are paying for it. Merry Xmas! Management works so hard....wouldn't you agree they deserve your money?
Why would someone short a the most successful bakery in America? It would be lack of supervision by their mother. Mothers are supposed to keep their children from making stupid mistakes and help them get along with their lives. Be a success and stuff like that. Some people have bad mothers, or, none and are left to make their own decisions. Bad decisions. Like dating the town std repository, voting to have yourself oppressed by a police state, or joining a religion, or gang, that wants to take over the world. Do not run with scissors, swim after eating, and most of all,,,,,,do not short a successful bakery that splits every 3 years and has paid a dividend since forever. Flowers has been around since before Sam decided to copy and beat K-Mart.
Flowers is a wrap and rollup co. kaplunk.
Budweiser is doing miserable. Bwhahahahahahaahaha/ Flo slogan should be , we make America FAT. Look at the execs at FLO. FAT!.
I shorted this November 1. How am I doing? Bwhahahahaahhahaahahhaha.
This baby is going down like the South did in the 1860s. Soon I will come and take care of all your women. LOL!!!!!! Do any women down there have teeth? they all gummin it? The south is disgusting.
Flowers is paying a dividend of .11 as of dec 4th. Did the shorter from New York City get his dividend? If he did, I am sure he would lie about it. Thomasville City Council has just passed an ordinance to ban short people from NYC entering it's city limits. This means if you short FLO stock, you can not visit Thomasville, GA, not because of the ban, but because you would not be able to afford the bus ticket from NYC.
Yes, walmart sells bread. Can Flowers sell bread without walmart? Yes, yes they can.
If you're not going to have a reasonable conversation, you just go on ignore.
Think about it: in the long run, your persistent trollish attitude does you no good. Why pursue being a troll, when any reasonable person will just put you on ignore?
I look at this as a great strategy. Tastykake is a very high quality product.
Flowers is not taking sales from incumbents. Walmart is yet to allow them to put their new bread lines .
tasty is for fat slobs. a usa phenom that's over with like flowers foods.
Tasty is no longer regional. They are rolling it out everywhere. It will take some time but FLO has visions of Tasty being the premier national brand.
So anyone who markets a product that is "bad" for us, that stock is also a bad investment? Tobacco companies that made investors a fortune, beer companies as well, banks and investment companies that would cut your throat for a buck? Or do you just draw the line at breads and treat companies? Can't invest in Hershey? How about car companies like Ford, or utility companies that burn coal and pollute? How about tech companies using slave labor in China? Should I just put my money under a mattress, or can I pick and choose which companies might be good investments? thanks.
this is the bakery version of NUAN, a roll up co. Big Bakery bread and treats are disgusting.
Yes, Thomasville is a small town, with only one horse. Flowers is now a national company and possibly moving into Canada by buyiing Canada Bakery. Yes, I am sure you will either NEVER eat bread again, this includes a sandwich, or, you are a shorting liar. Go to Yahoo charts, click max chart, click splits info and you will find the bread company you are shorting has split 3:2 about every 3 years since the early 1990s. That is a lot and have paid dividends all the way. So, you say it is a rollup? You can make money off Flowers with a method I can not understand? OMG, are you REALLY Ican? Going to buy 15% of it's stock and force those fat white men to give you a seat on their board? Hmmm.....I think you delusional. I have a basis in FLO of about $2/sh or less.
I'm not sure why you responded to me, since your response has nothing to do with my comment. Tastykakes are made in the Philadelphia region, not in Thomasville,
In addition, Tastykaes are currently a regional product, with most of its market penetration in the Mid-atlantic region and northeast. I have tried competing products, including Hostess, Drakes, Little Debbie's, Entenmann's, etc. Overall, Tastykake is vastly superior; consequently, I view the possibility of increasing the market for Tastykake as a huge opportunity, and I would like to see Flowers Foods make the attempt.
Note that this is nothing to do with Thomasville whatsoever, so your response to me is pointless.
Thomasville is a One Horse Town, once Flowers stops growing they will export more and more jobs out of town in my opinion and the value of everything in T-Ville will go down with it.
