real good question. I own both. Gerdau has many locations in the US and I see their trucks hauling steel. I see many more trucks with steel of all sorts. The most in many many years. I'm guessing there is going to be some good quarters next year. And then you also have World Cup and Olympics in Brazil so I am very hopeful
Well, it is now Dec. 20 and I would say you should have bought both.... I did and they are both rising into a better world economy. These were dogs not too long ago. GGB chart from dec13 till now.. Nice rise. Sid is great also.
I feel your pain. I have held this stock for 3 years. Don't understand why it isn't gaining
this stock will move again with earnings I know it is another 2 month wait but it will be worth it
Who the heck would sell now? Obviously Seymore didn't do his homework. All of the steel co.'s have reported upside projections.. But he has power as do all fast money Guys.
Are those targets in Brazilian dollars?
maybe you need to divide by 2.2 to get those targets in American dollars, and these ANALists are worse at predicting earnings than your weatherman is at forecasting the temperature so DON'T BANK on any estimate on Yahoo.
Yea right!!!!!!!!!! Look at the 3 month chart... No 6.5 anywhere in Aug. Now good earnings and good forward projections..... Chart says,,,,, UP UP and away. Buy on Seymores dip.
I agree; however, our slimy friend "Tim Seymour" on CNBC says sell both SID and GGB. He provides no logic for such action - but I think I can assure you that he sold the shares he was holding and wants to buy yours for as little as possible. This guy as proved to me on numerous occasions that he has no morals and his accuracy is not very good.
Well, we are in the 8 range with good projections. It is up from here, who knows how far.....
Sentiment: Strong Buy
If your term "American" includes Brazil - especially Brazil - I agree with you. I think other select steel investments are interesting also - but none have the promise of SID or GGB in my opinion.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I for one hope you are right. I have more shares of this stock than I want. US steel isn't looking good now. They say there is a glut of world steel out there. I will love 15$.
