  • Looking at ABB for long term. I like its position in market -- but my concern is that its core business is paying management. Management comp is ridiculous. Over $2 million of CFO -- almost $3 million for General Counsel. Hopefully there is an explanation somewhere.

  • Price and Volume indicating the trend has changed for ABB

    Volume ….400,000 …..23.34…..23.22….23.24 …..Gap up opening 10:00am

THE GRAND STRATEGY OF STOCK TRADING

THE STOCK TELL YOU THAT IT HAS MADE A BOTTOM OR A TOP BY SACRIFICING A POINT OR SO FOR INSURANCE.

The Most Bullish Looking Chart Patterns

All your buying for maximum profits should be concentrated on stocks having the following types of chart patterns:

    1. Long-term decline followed by a breakout…………….ABB
    2. Flat base breakout
    3. Coming off a double bottom
    4. W Pattern
    5. Growth
    6. Cyclical at historic lows

Let us examine each of these separately:

    1. Long-term decline followed by a breakout
This pattern is mentioned first because it is capable of producing the greatest capital gains. The pattern is exactly as described, a long-term decline (the longer the better) followed by an eventual bullish reversal above a previous declining peak. The stock gains an upside impetus commensurate with the duration and extent o f the previous decline. The theory here is that the stock has been so utterly oversold that upon the first evidence of a turn for the better the stock will advance at a greater rate than it previously declined

Time to buy when everyone feels like you. There are not many longterm holders based on performance. The new buy at these prices are going to buy from very longterm holders. With more than 3.5 million short interest, it will make a life time buying opportunity.

WSJ, Bloomberg, CNBC all will have a big story on ABB. Question is why now?

    Good luck!

    Sincerely,

    More follows.

    Good luck!

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • ABB has never really made money. Oh, sure, if you bought at a low and sold at a high you did OK. But, all it has going for it is a 3% dividend. Europe is going into a recession. Dump this stock.

  • We can expect GAP Opening, good clue for the demand after over sold conditions.

    1. In Europe ABB is very strong
    2. In USA yesterday’s volume was highest in a month
    3. Stock has not traded above 23.25 for more than a month

Lately, Market Making New High and ABB down grades, there is not much interest in buying. Now that stock is showing strength, it could lead to an up move of 5 to 10% from much oversold condition, before common public notice the change in trend.

    Good luck!

    Sincerely,

    Carolyn Novice

Please see Aug 27, 2014 WSJ and there is a very good article on Germany's gamble on renewable energy.

Also now Israel and Gaza is quiet, ABB should get back to work, building it. ABB should get good contracts.

More latter I am watching SMCI ,TRN ,ST and GILD as well as GTAT.

    Good luck!

    6. Nearly everyone had a sell order, who is left to sell?
    7. Time to watch the Volume increase as first sign of progress
    8. Price move of more than 20 cents will give momentum
    9. Follow through of few days up is what gives bullish sign

  • PLEAS LOOK AT THE CLOSING VOLUME AND PRCIE

ABB Ltd. (ABBN) said a power-cable technology that allows offshore wind farms to transmit more than twice the energy of current set-ups will boost orders at the company’s power systems division in coming years.

“It’s on the list of ABB’s most important breakthroughs in the last five years,” Chief Technology Officer Claes Rytoft said in an interview, adding that rival technologies are at least some years behind. “We know about projects that have not moved forward because they are missing this.”

The technology will spur the construction of even bigger offshore wind farms by doubling the power capacity of cable connections to about 2,600 megawatts from 1,000 megawatts today, making it the most powerful subsea connection system in the world, Rytoft said. It includes high-voltage power cables, joints and terminations.

A steady stream of cable orders may help Chief Executive Officer Ulrich Spiesshofer to strengthen the Power Systems unit, which has been grappling with delays to complex renewable energy projects. Charges at the business, which manages big-ticket projects such as offshore wind park connections, have weighed on the company’s earnings and Spiesshofer has pledged to return the division to profitability.

  • BWEN Broadwind Energy - profitable for the first time in its history and to stay so in the upcoming quarters with a huge backlog, orders already booked into most of 2015, and in the talks of selling the full production and more. Stock had a pullback in the last couple months and down to mid $8’s from its 12-mo high of $14. With a low float it won’t take long time to jump above $10 and head north of $16+ $20 and up. Especially with the overall market sell-off in the last couple days they are trying to keep it quiet so they can cover their shorts, accumulate and then sell to retail investors at a higher price with analyst upgrades etc. Check it out! Do your own due diligence and don’t be late and chasing the stock when it takes off!
