As I have stated before,Berkshires current value is between $137 and $143 per share and has good appreciation potential going forward.Estimate is based on 12/31/13 financials using investments per share at market and a 10x2013 EPS.Very basic and very conservative valuation approach.
That’s an annual rate of nearly 38%. I’m long BRK (I’ll hold onto it for years), so I’d love to have that kind of return. But it’s not going to happen.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
warren and charley had the same question about walt disneys health. dont know what the market cap was on walts death but its 145billion today.
3000 ? DOLLARS ? From 120.00 ? Absolutely delusional ! Thats 25 X current maket cap of 300 billion .......or 7.5 TRILLION . as of 2012 the TOTAL value of ALL us stocks was about 18 trillion. You can't be this deep into LA-LA world. Disclosure: I have owned BRKB since it went public and have NEVER sold a single shr, and probably WONT ...... ever ,so don't call me a basher, but when i see things like this ,i have to respond. If you meant to say the price might go up 3 X in the next ten yrs , thats more realistic .........hell even 5 or 6......but 25 TIMES ? DUDE !
If you are asking about split ADJUSTED price , todays price is all time high (120 x 50 = 6000 /shr pre-split ). IF you are SERIOUSLY asking if BRKB gets back to PRE-split price of 5000+......WITHOUT a reverse split, consider that would put BRK market value at around 15 TRILLION dollars. So my answer is ....maybe......but NOT in our lifetime. :-)
With the amount of money involved I am sure that careful consideration has been taken on this issue. Rest easy. I do not think that anyone will be SHOVED into position.
