Berkshire currently has a nice portfolio. However I'm skeptical that any old successor can keep the train on the tracks. Not sure if Buffet said this but the saying goes, "invest in a business an idiot could run, because some day an idiot will e running it." I don't think an idiot is capable of running this type of business--at least the part that requires patient, astute acquisitions and deployment of the cash the portfolio generates. Buffet is a multi-generational genius at that. So I hope he stays on through a price recovery.
