All mobile devices that connect to IoT devices through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi are vulnerable to cyberattacks, and this makes it easier for hackers to access private or secure networks, causing mobile device driven attacks.
To protect devices, be sure to look into Microsoft Intune, which provides mobile device management, mobile application management, and PC management capabilities from the cloud. The tool includes comprehensive settings management for mobile devices, including remote actions such as passcode reset, device lock, and data encryption.
While the above trends certainly pose a threat, they also provide Microsoft partners with a tremendous opportunity to talk to customers about safeguarding their business from these threats. End of Microsoft Marketing Partners Pitch.
Now a senior Microsoft Marketing Manager is broadcasting that 2016 is a great time for Microsoft Partners to pitch Security as problems are affecting 80% of small to medium size business.
The quote from softy is:
" The ability for small businesses to safeguard their critical data continues to be one of the top areas for IT investment in 2016 and beyond—and that screams opportunity for Microsoft partners to introduce customers to new solutions and technologies".
The adoption of mobile payment systems will also lead to a surge in hack activity related to stealing information from new payment processing technologies like EMV credit cards, contactless RFID smart cards, and mobile wallets like Apple Pay and Google Wallet.
As a Microsoft partner, you can help ensure that sensitive data on your customers’ mobile devices are protected with built-in encryption capabilities like Enterprise Data Protection and BitLocker. Find more information in the ModernBiz Safeguard Your Business resources, and start talking to your customers about how you can help protect their business against mobile malware.
Since phishing attacks are no longer limited to email, SMS phishing (smishing) is becoming more common, especially by hackers creating password recovery scams.
A criminal hacker only needs a victim’s email address and a mobile phone number to start a password recovery process and compromise their account, as per the TNW news blog.
Be sure to talk to your customers about built-in threat protection on PCs and devices with Windows Defender. Plus, help them detect and get alerts about security breaches with Advanced Threat Analytics (ATA) as part of the Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS).
One of the recent hacking attacks in late December 2015 caused physical damage at an unnamed German steel mill. Cybercriminals used sophisticated social engineering and spear-phishing tactics to manipulate control systems and gain initial access to the steel mill’s office network.
Liberal policy in no small part is to blame, no jobs and the message that you need government help more than others is mentally degrading, enslaving and cannot help but create an anger to manifest at some point.
the first question to be answered about disproportionality on incarceration by race is" "is it disproportionate with regards to crime and severity of crime?"
Fifty years ago I think the answer to that would have been yes.
Of course locking up a Wal-Mart shop lifter and ignoring white collar criminals (mostly white) who steal billions is grossly unfair but with regards to violent crime but the proportionality of race and incarceration does not suggest the primary cause is racism but who is actually committing the crimes.
And for that cause we can thank liberal thinking (entitlement) and policy (no jobs).
Robber barons were accused of eliminating competition through predatory pricing and then overcharging when they had a monopoly.
Nineteenth century Robber Barons included J.P. Morgan, Andrew Carnegie, Andrew W. Mellon, and John D. Rockefeller.
Funny how mall those names have been sanitized through public relations over the years.
No list of 20th century robber barons would be complete without Bill Gates……. his PR machine is running 25/7, the Bill & Melinda Blah Blah Blah
They were up against "The Walking Dead" marathon. Apparently more TWD got more viewers than the talking dead..
Another tragic use of guns.........
Machetes need to be banned, along with restaurants since they are places where violent people congregate.
Microsoft putting information out like this shows how confident they are with their Security. They know that their current "Premium Services" aka they charge extra to receive EXTREME SECURITY are bullet proof. It is pretty bad out there but they are dealing with a company that has it's own cyber Security center that works with law Enforcement n US & Interpol abroad.
That is why it amazes me that people think they can hide their tracks these days.
I think Microsoft is 10-15 years ahead of all the competition in handling these secure accounts. Think about it Microsoft has set up training on active Military Bases to teach Military personal how to code, work with Azure ........ They are hiring people that you would never ever think would be working at a tech company but they fit in with storing data and providing services that people lives depend on the job you do. They have the sensitive data and now their researchers have developed a System with Extreme Security.
You can keep special accounts secure if you have people monitoring everything 24/7 and you have basically an Intelligence agency within Microsoft made up of X this and X that. It makes life for hackers a lot different than their usual "marks". You don't have a server with no firewall and I think there was have been stories where there was no passwords needed for some of these hacks on the news.
Microsoft is the real deal now. Not sure why analyst are not trusting Microsoft's stock like the real world is trusting Microsoft.
I believe Mr. Softy added 5 more military bases where they train DOD Personal for jobs with Microsoft after service to the already open training centers on Military Bases. The jobs start off paying around $70,000. The people that get trained most likely would be working on the Military Contracts after they are Civilians. It is still hard to pass the background checks to even work on Military bases or data centers. Just ask Google how hard it is.
Microsoft also put the information below:
Actually after reading it I am not going to post it. They put too much information into it that it is way too security sensitive. This is not the only Military Contract..
They are handling logistics with the cloud for providing real time information on moving Entire Brigades around Air, Road, Rail, Sea...............and they can see where they are when they are arriving and what cargo they are carrying,
It allows them to make changes and real time and receive all these different alerts on their devices etc.
They use maps in all of this and that makes it EXTREMELY Important because they are showing where all the assets are.
I am not going to post all the details but is on Microsoft's web site. I would never post any of this but they are putting it out as Customer Stories. If they can do it because this is one example of just how important Microsoft is and how much they put into keeping the most important information in the world secure.
They better not let Google handle a cloud where you can see where Military Personal is, where they are going and what they have.
I guess Microsoft cannot brag but these are the kinds of contracts that makes Microsoft different than Amazon & Google. Yea, let Amazon handle sensitive information like this in between selling and shipping widgets.
Microsoft is running with the big dogs and they are training them to keep this going for a long, long time.
There is a lot of koolaid being poured. This is real deal in the real world not koolaidville.
Yet more confirmation that windoze phone is dead.. Nutella is sacking even more of the remains of Nokia...
Nadella isn’t not done yet. Microsoft has made further redundancies in its the old Nokia phone division, as Finnish paper Helsingen Sanomat reports.
The number is “dozens” according to the paper, and these are additional redundancies over the layoffs already announced, hitting the Lumia marketing teams.
“The reduction is due to the fact that the company's phone business is in deep trouble and are forced to cut costs,” the paper explains.
The Finns have born the brunt of Nadella’s redundancies. Some 32,000 Nokia staff joined Microsoft in early 2014. 12,000 were made redundant and a further 7,800 in last June’s round of layoffs. Of those 7,800, 2,300 were in Finland. We’ve consistently received reports of small numbers of layoffs, so this sounds like another.

More than a month after armed men and women first seized an Oregon wildlife refuge, federal agents moved in on the last stragglers from that group on Wednesday night and demanded their surrender. The group reportedly agreed to yield on Thursday at roughly 8 a.m. local time, with two conservative public figures shepherding the handover. Two hours later, after a drawn out negotiation with one last occupier, David Fry, the occupation finally ended.
What a bunch of abject morons.
