"Microsoft’s new small print – how your personal data is (ab)used"
The new “privacy dashboard” is presented to give the users a possibility to control their data related to various products in a centralised manner. Microsoft’s deputy general counsel, Horacio Gutierrez, wrote in a blog post that Microsoft believes “that real transparency starts with straightforward terms and policies that people can clearly understand”. We copied and pasted the Microsoft Privacy Statement and the Services Agreement into a document editor and found that these “straightforward” terms are 22 and 23 pages long respectively. Summing up these 45 pages, one can say that Microsoft basically grants itself very broad rights to collect everything you do, say and write with and on your devices in order to sell more targeted advertising or to sell your data to third parties. The company appears to be granting itself the right to share your data either with your consent “or as necessary”.

looks like he knows his stuff about rapists too:
"Donald Trump's Lawyers Threaten Daily Beast With Lawsuit Over Ex-Wife's Alleged Sexual Assault Claims"
"Donald Trump is riding high in the polls at the moment, but being the front-runner for the GOP nomination has increased scrutiny on his personal life and past.
Following his controversial remarks about Mexican immigrants, in particular accusing them of being "rapists," the focus has shifted to the time when Trump's ex-wife Ivana used the word "rape" to describe an incident between the then married couple in 1989.
The Daily Beast reports that Ivana Trump's assertion of rape came up in the couple's blockbuster divorce case, which was tabloid fodder in the early '90s. Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen pushed back, telling the Daily Beast, “You’re talking about the front-runner for the GOP presidential candidate, as well as private individual who never raped anybody. And, of course, understand that by the very definition, you can’t rape your spouse.”
his lawyer doesn't sound so sharp though or he would know that there is case law supporting convictions for spousal rape.
I guess I have to wait. Signed up when the Win 10 upgrade popped up on my laptop but it seems I'm at the end of the line.
I want to give a try because I simply hate Win 8. I got time tonight to give it a run through. See if Kodi and all that stuff plays nice with Win 10?
"Trump is right this program helps no one"
No One Is people Like Trump and other politicians that have their Healthcare paid for by Taxpayers ... and No One are people who are currently healthy and Do Not need health insurance at this moment in time ... until they catch something, diagnosed with something, gets in a car accident, etc.
yeah, you have to uninstall symantec for 2 reasons:
it may block system-level things that the w10 installer is going to be doing -- once you finish downloading it and start it up
and, msft uses their own a.v. program, something called less fenders, fender remover, or somesuch. so they don't want your install to get held up and they want to squeeze the other a.v. vendors out. this is the best time to do it.
oh, yeah, it's called de-fender.
i knew it was a funny name. (-;
Medicaid pays more Medicare pays the most. Trump is right this program helps no one, like gun control, foreign policy, global warming and the gay agenda. check out this video from the Greenpeace founder on global warming https://www.facebook.com/prageru/videos/p.917388291637361/917388291637361/?type=2&theater full of facts no spin
Windows 10 is the most eagerly anticipated OS in the history of all software, but MS is content to dispense with hype and let the overwhelming merits of Windows 10 do the talking.
(Still, for Windows 10 to account in 6 hours for more downloads than what the Linux desktop could account for in 23+ years is stupendous!!!)
I'm upgrading my legacy Windows 7 PC to Windows 10. It's been going for 2 hours and appears to be 20% completed. The first thing it told me to do was uninstall Symantec Antivirus. Yikes! So far, no disasters. If Windows 10 kills this PC it's no big deal, because my main PC and Laptop are running Linux, and it won't affect my Chromebook, Android Tablet or iPads either. The only reason I keep this Legacy Windows PC around is to run iTunes. All my iTunes stuff is stored in the Cloud anyway.
Excellent point! The Linux fecktards have a dud for an OS, and they feel they don't belong anywhere. So they fight with shadows on internet message boards & feel that their "enemy" acknowledged their existence and thus "validated" their sordid little existence.
that sounds like you are a candidate, p.u.!
because if you read the board at all you will see that there is a lot of interest in linux here.
just the opposite of what you claim. (-;
and finding a linux bulletin board site to post on won't change/solve/impact that at all. in fact it may be where some of these folks are getting their info!!! 0^8)=
so that's 2 swings and two strikes. (-;
and you just made up the stuff about looking for a linux patch. if you need one you just check it out from the repository or install a patched binary from the distributor.
"continue searching for a Linux patch some where in never never land."
Waiting for a Windows Patch ... XP had patches for 12+ Years.
"Linux , it's not for the simple minded"
Agree! Linux is for Morons too Stupid to find a Linux BB to post on! No one cares about Linux on this BB, the people here are productive and want their PC's to be all they can be and there ain't but one way to do that, run WINDOWS so run along and continue searching for a Linux patch some where in never never land.
Says the fecktard that is defending an OS that can't even get a toehold on desktop in 23+ years of frantic coding & furious lying by its "advocates".
In fact, in a mere 6 hours, Windows 10 has far surpassed Linux's share (which Linux Loons toiled for 23+ years to get).
I have tens of thousands of Linux servers in data centres with uptimes in years...no reboots. And patching can be done without a reboot if necessary. Linux is just way more stable than windoze - doesn't need rebuilding very often.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
