Think outside the box you are in. Then read my post again. Did I say anything about Amazon making a profit from selling options? NO. I was talking about how Amazon shareholders make a profit. If you don't understand what is going on here you really shouldn't trade AMZN.
I did.... will capture all gains until earning OCT 21 then sell before earnings and just buy the shares.... after earnings I like a straddle.. buy both call and puts $15 outside opening price 30 days out.... try it.
To his defense. Most of the time he bought calls which is a winning strategy in the past five years. Like him, I also feel this is the turning point for the bull market. Bear market will come soon. I began to accumulate January 2016 puts. Just be nimble. Hold most cash and look for opportunity like last Friday. So far this week AMZN has not recovered its Friday loss yet.
REVISED price target by the end of OCTOBER = 780 OR HIGHER!!!!
Girls, my predictions of stocks and markets over the PAST FOUR YEARS have been second to none and that is why friends/family coat-tail my every trade and treat me like a LIVING GOD today!!! In fact, analyzing stocks has become so easy and so predictable during this ongoing SUPER BULL market UPTREND .....it's been like shooting fish in a barrel....and so OBVIOUS that there is NO need for any so-called special wall street "advisers," a six year old kid can figure out this stuff!!!! LOL
For those of you who don't know what a Geegenjar is, allow me to define:
A Geegenjar is someone who consistently throws his money away buying expensive options that usually become worthless.
To the gods: Thank you for providing us Geegenjars.
Without Geegenjars, I would be stuck losing short positions in AMZN and NFLX. But, because of the generosity (stupidity) of the Geegenjars, I have been able to find customers to buy all the options I've been writing on AMZN and NFLX for the last three months. I am now sitting on a 15%+ gain on NFLX and a very small loss in AMZN.
Just a couple of days ago, a Geegenjar bought my OCT 16th $490 AMZN puts for $14/share!!!
A week before that, a Geegenjar bought my OCT 16th $525 calls for almost $20/share!!!
I do remember one of the Geegenjars writing derogatory posts about my sale of the $525 calls. Something about that I was about to get margin calls. Well, guess what? Even after the major bounce in the last couple of days, the $525 calls are now selling for about $10.75/share. The $490 puts are now selling for about $6/share. But don't worry. The Geegenjars of the world are too stupid to take their losses. They will hold the options until they become worthless.
Thank you, Gods. You have provided us with bountiful Geegenjars.
525 by the close. 550 by Friday's close if the jobs report is bad, 550 by Friday's close if the jobs report is good. The Fed protects its stock market. That's we have to know. The Fed supplies the Bread. Earnings, talking heads, Cramer, Bezos, CNBCFN, Bloomberg are all sideshow Circuses. AMZN is not a company, nor is it a stock. AMZN is the ticker of a video game programmed and controlled by the Fed.
AMZN's Q3 earnings report can be expected to be very strong as well. Load up at great bargain price now to reap huge profit later!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Amazon emailed its marketplace sellers declaring that on Oct 29, new listings for Google or Apple video streaming products will not be permitted, because they don't work with Amazon's Prime Video streaming service.
The Bez seems like a very unhappy humanoid.
. . . to speculate in stocks. The others are July, January, September, April, November, May, March, June, December, August and February.”
Optionmaster1 can attest to this. He started shorting AMZN in June. Almost four months later, he's still stuck with a losing position.
I am still thinking the Detroit bounce is coming, but I also think we should be up on the idea that the washing machine is going to order the detergent. Has anybody done the calc on how many points that is? We know it is going to $750 this fall, should we add to that X in dollars?,
Good call. I think AMZN will test $500 this afternoon, with a good shot to reach $495, yesterday's low. Yesterday is all about end of quarter window dressing.
