You're suffering from "techstrategy" syndrome.
You know your short position is toast, but cannot admit that, so you keep coming up with convoluted excuses, without any basis, to justify holding onto your losing position.
Don't end up like techstrategy.
If you want to see how deranged he's become, check his posts at Netflix's board.
This is fraud company. Losing in every business and keep adding new business.
What happened to Fire phone. I am thinking if we want to make money go with this fraud market.
Buy AMZN calls. I lost a lot of money shorting this. But a very long term short ? I am not sure.
Yes, that's obvious. Just disagreeing on the magnutude of that impact. But time will tell.
if the Marketplace Fairness Act passes, all 27 states that now allow Bozos not to collect sales taxes on his sales would have to start collecting it meaning AMZN immediately begins competing with companies like Wal-Mart and Best Buy on an even-price field (without the online-tax discount) which has already been shown in an academic study to lower Amazon sales
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Not sure what "national Internet sales tax" means but guessing you just mean forcing collection on behalf of the states (no additional federal sales tax). I'm sure there has been some impact but hoping this is the tipping point seems absurd. Wouldn't all e commerce companies be affected or do you think that the value of the convenience of getting goods shipped to home is so small that trends will reverse and people will start driving back to malls.
Im still short. Couldn't even get a point of this thing today. This fairtale market is out of control
Think about the fact that Amazon has been doing this for 20 years. This is a wall street's game.
no am #$%$ m bubba. you must be an amzn longggggggggggggloser.
going to get sold off into year end as the mutual funds want to show a reduced holding of loosers at year end. Amazon being down from last year is a prime candidate for some selling pressure
Shorts here cannot help but to short all the time.
They were born genetically programmed to short.
I have bought nothing from BABA and a few things from Amazon, but BABA makes money and AMZN doesn't. More often than not AMZN is a little more expensive these days.
AMZN could make decent money in the short term if they quit spending on building of an outdated model of brick and mortar but i think he knows when that happens the end is near because though decent money will be made near term, it will become obvious that additional growth will not justify today's valuation.
