Tired of making 1% a day with quiksilver? Ultimate Stock Alerts (Google em) finds the momentum stocks and sends out calls before they run. I locked in 27% in 3 days with their last call.
UltimaeStockAlerts (google them) is the place to go. I got tired of QUIKSILVER and all the bashers and went to find a consistent newsletter. Their last call did 64% in just a few days. I think Ive found the perfect service!
Liz Claiborne brand was sold off to I think JC Penney. And they sold off Juicy Couture and Lucky Brand. And now they are just focus on Kate Spade and its not licensing business and its similar to Kors and Coach.
didnt mossimo go the licensing route also with target? that is another company that lost its luster like zqk.
I believe Liz Claiborne went to that route. Their stock symbol changed from LIZ to KATE over a span of several years, I think about 3 years. Their company name changed too... from Liz Claiborne to Fifth & Pacific Company to Kate finally. During the span of 3 years or so, their stock went up almost 10 folds and now dropped down to about 5 folds. Bottom line is they were quite successful turning their company around. From distressed situation to quite profitable.
Andrew Mooney comes from Disney's Licensing arm.
It really seems, like they basically wanna make this a pure licensing business, with all the cutting, don't you agree?
Do any of you know companies that went the similar way and what are/were the implications?
Licensing can be very interesting of course. Revenue with not much overhead.
I definitely think this is a possibility in next few years, their debt load is enormous especially considering their rapidly declining sales and margins!
This new CEO has been worthless and has crash and burned in all his turnaround initiatives.
Anyone else not liking this? :(
I see on Level II a lot of 4-digit blocks that are being sold... makes me worrying...
I am in at around 4.5 average :(
well, problem being: they decided to lower prices even more. Some say 30%. This won't help turnover... maybe they sell more quantity, but this will never make up for falling turnover... so this seems to go down :/
