You hit the nail on the head. I wasn't able to do my job because of incompetent people above me, yet I was run off because that was my fault. It's an absolute train wreck and look at the stock price today. It keeps sliding. Several people up top need to be out of jobs
They'll never recover. When you can't make a profit in this market, there is no hope (not to mention the 9 straight years as posted). Morale is shot - more good people leaving every day This company has been devoid of leadership since Macadam left - no vision & no strategy. The previous administration destroyed this company while lining their own pockets. Those guys weren't capable of running a lemonade stand let alone a 2 billion dollar business. Let's face it, when your senior management's team academic pedigree is comprised Florida Atlantic University, Western Connecticut State, Montevallo, Southern Illinois, etc. you're not winning any brain bowls. I'm sure they have fine swimming & field hockey teams though & good keg parties too. They let smart, solid people leave to their competitors & surrounded themselves with cronies - now they're getting absolutely trounced by them. "YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW". This is like watching a slow-motion train wreck but I can see the caboose on the horizon.....
I don't understand these banks and I don't understand why BXC doesn't sell to a competitor. It will be interesting to see which branches close next. They took a thriving branch in Shreveport, LA and ran it upside down into the ditch. It's the same at 95% of their branches.
As long as the banks or willing to finance them, they will continue to run, but they will eventually close down. They lost almost 9 million is this last quarter, which they can't make up, so for 2015 is a losing year, that 9 years in a row, there debt is almost 1/2 billion, there days are numbered
Sentiment: Strong Sell
BXC is and will always be a "C" company with the current structure. They used to be an "A" company and the best in the industry, but they have faltered. Will they go away, probably not, will they be great again, probably not.
The worst is yet to come but they're so oblivious to the industry & their surroundings, they don't even realize it,
Logistics Manager Tracy Powell needs to be fired immediately. He's a bully and his policies are moronic. The whole company is a big joke. I would place Steve Nybo, manager of San Antonio, and Houston right behind him. What a worthless sack of #$%$ who dresses like a slob and has zero leadership ability. BlueLinx is a joke.
Time for a haircut Mitch. You've had a year to turn this dog barf around & it ain't happening. Another 9 million dollar loss in Q1. Look across the street at your neighbors. They're making money because they don't have a VP, GM & Director for every zip code in the country. Your structure is bloated & top-heavy. You're paying big bucks to management to read sales reports - not helping your bottom line. Try engaging a customer.
The clock is ticking.
