alu seems to be in same cost cutting, restructuring mode as oclr. seems that they are doing fairly well. they're 'in play' due to their 4g lte china telecom buildout. likely oclr gets some of that.
pretty sure that the cisco effect is already in last week's oclr guidance. we came back pretty well yesterday after the cisco news. oclaro story is also largely about restructuring, re-focusing of product lines and cost-cutting etc.
From the CC, Greg said they still have a good relationship with Hauwei. Lost marketshare only because pump business was sold. I believe Hauwei makes up about 9% of sales. Cisco makes up 15% of sales.
These Snow-in and internet spy issues will probably hurt CSCO's market shares in China and EU in long term. and maybe also in Japan. Don't know how will that affect OCLR, FNSR and JDSU?
Sorry, FNSRMSFT, did not mean to kick you when you were down.
Just totally annoyed you have been such an #$%$ over here for the last few years.
you're so stooooopid it's pathetic. fnsr is overvalued especially after cisco hit the crapper today! when i get the time, i will wreak havoc on the fnsr and jdsu boreds just for fun similar to what you and other maroons are trying to do here.
Ceil my advice is before oclr does another reverse split sometime next year to stay nasdaq compliant you may want to consider beating them to the punch and perform your own 1 to 10 reverse split and upgrade your holdings to finisar.
I know you have held this stock since the avnx days and seeing where its gotten you and the uncertainty of oclr's future you may really want to think twice about what I am saying before you poo poo this off as an oclr basher pumping fnsr.
You may not ever get even making that move, but at least you wont lose another 50% if you continue to hold out hoping that oclr get out of its current situation.
Whatever you do...enjoy the ride...
our tormentors weren't smart enough to sell at the recent $26 plus
guess the are " enjoying their ride"
down 20% from fnsr recent highs.
too busy over hear telling us of our impending bankruptcy
Layoffs are painful. Hopefully they can hire again in the future.
Hope Cisco poor earnings does not hurt us today. Also think there was some recent insider buying at Oclaro but not sure if these were granted or outright buys. Need to investigate further.
You misunderstand...I'm not bad mouthing. Often on here people are trying to "run down" this company without thinking about the people and lives involved. I'm all for supporting...and if a company needs to reduce to survive so be it...but having been a victim of such a situation myself I wouldn't necessarily look upon it as a positive thing even as a stock holder unless it increases efficiency. In pursuit of immediate gains a lot can be lost imho...but each company and situation is different and hopefully positive things will come in time.. I have no intention of trying to sway anyone..I'd rather people supported by buying and continuing to buy truth be told...feel free to do so.. ^^
