jmi. I agree Liza has been very helpful on the message boards and has provided useful info for making good investment decisions. Based on her comments, I puchased NTI a while back.
Just more spam. Don't bother reading it. Report and ignore these clowns.
It's not as clear as you think. There has been huge amount of discussion on the subject on the Investor Village MLP board. I won't repeat it. However you should read jrad52's posts in this thread.
if you want an MLP blog, just read Hinds Howard on the mlpguy website.
Usually only one blog per week unfortunately.
No, there is nothing to report when it is in an IRA, if there is anything owed your broker will take care of it. It never shows up on a 1099 report. And YES you do pay tax on it when you take a distribution like any other investment in an IRA.
lizahuang54321 -- you are consistently the best poster on the MLP boards -- I look forward to hearing your thoughts -- you should have an MLP blog
Chuck it may be the party that they are having at DOW . My Preferred, MLP and foreign stocks and bonds PPS dropped Wed that may be investors moving Capital to the DOW. When the party is over they will be back. There may be a buying opportunity if enough Capital gets out of the way.
I bought EPD yesterday at 55.92 and made over a G after losing in NYCB. I then
bought KMP since it hadn't bounced back as musc as EPD. I hope KMP goes back
to at least 86. today.
Seasonal price cycle peaked in January (see KMR), distribution of shares to the public taking place now. Lower prices brings higher yields and increases the market. Institutional buying running out of MLP funds.
Hey, what are you jumping on me for? The guy just asked a question and I volunteered an answer. The MLP sector all took a dump in December because of the fear that we'd lose our tax favored status. Washington will come hunting again, it's just a matter of time. When they do you'll see MLP discounted across the board. The tax favored benefits are surely built into everyone model and when the disappear or are modified, people's will respond.
Preferred and MLP declined today. In my opinion investors wanted to raise money to join the DOW party. They will be back when the party is over. If more moves over there should be a buying opportunity. At the present prices are too rich for me across the board.
