Why did I even touch GLW? If it wasn?t for the guys at Ultimate Stock Alerts (find them in Google search) I would have lost more money
Value Line gives normal, average PE for Corning of 16 !!! Right now it is below 9. A correction of PE to even 12 would raise the price nicely. Just needs someone like Icahn to take a position for it to happen.
Well if its not Mini Mouse, Mind, whatever. Funny the only time you rear your pathetic message is when Glw is on an upswing. Sorry you lost so much money with this "Pos". Here's an idea, why don't you sell your remaining 5 shares, and leave the good people on this board to make money....Something you DO NOT have a CLUE how to do..
Sentiment: Strong Buy
He said he would give up all his earthly possessions and walk the earth barefoot. O'Really says, "you can't explain that".
Corning keeps making great profits. We'll see if quarter 3 is good. If it breaks 40 cents a share then buyers who have purchased GLW recently will have made an awesome buy. In the long run, the price should follow the profits. Corning, like many good companies, have taken a hit the last few months as the market has turned sour even though profits are up. It doesn't make sense and stocks like GLW are becoming very attractive at current prices
I took a chance on the recent trip to the low $16 area and bought a lot (for me) of Jan 2017 $13 calls. 100 of them for $4.20 each. I would love to see $20 by 2016, or even 2017.
Where all the talking heads. Glw up twice the dow and no one out there gives a rats #$%$ . Hard to believe. Decent earnings, and we are off to the races. back to where we should be, 14, 15, just kidding...
20's by Christmas, that's my prediction, and i'm sticking with it. Good luck longs, Enjoy the ride...
You would be right if Corning had real competition, which they don't, not even close to the level of company Coring is. That being said Coring would have plenty of time to get into the finish product side of the business without any real damage. wow I have owned this stock from 2.85 a share and had no idea either.
If you make widgets and you sell them to your customer(s) but change to selling the widgets yourself to the customer's customers(s), you are nearly certain you will destroy your business.
If they would stop wasting money on buy backs and invest the money organically we would be much better off.
Ditto. It's not like they don't have any cash to invest in new ventures.
This is a great business - would love to know why they do not make the entire product??????????
why doesn't Corning cut these guys out and make the finished product? Again, just lack of vision
I always thought Corning supplied the cover but apparently they only supply the raw sheets.
