Looks like they will continue to climb from here............
Drove by last week, sad to see the water tower is gone, been a land mark for over 100 years! Why didn't they lease it to cell phone use? And the hundred year old oak tree, sad to see it cut down, brought a few tears to our eyes. We use to have lunches and picnics under that tree. Did Mueller do that? I thought MW was a green company. No one casually cuts down a hundred year old oak tree, hopefully someone spoke up and pointed that out, everyone can not be that scared to ask why.
Minitab? The tool of lean. The drug companies have used the statistic tools to claim recent new drugs are wonderful, when they had to be pulled from the market. Like my professor said, don't take a pill because the confidence interval was great. They saved a lot of money by using the statistical tools to get the drugs to market early, but beware of savings.
Averaged down from $3.75 when it went all the way down to $2.15. Bought most of my shares in the 'low' range. I think this company can be 'taken out' at a MUCH higher price than where it is now ($7.44) or it's multi year high. This last earnings report was just
incredible; so much growth potential. This thing's going much higher no matter what happens. At that point I will just examine the fundamentals and act accordingly. Good luck to all longs.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
If they actually did that, I would be fine with holding off on the big divvy increase. But a little divvy increase gets noticed and volume could follow.

I don't think they should increase their dividend . They still need to pay of their debt and they are barely into profit. I got it MWA at 2-3.00 a share. I agree we should see ten dollars a share in 2 years or less.
Bike won't climb the last slope, expect it to fall back to the ground and try again.
Sold 50% today, expecting a pull back, really nice pop, wish all the stocks I have had a run like this
I'm a long term hold...bought in @ 4.16 the watched it immediately storm into the $3's...sigh, I have that effect on stocks. As of right now however, I'm sitting on a 74% increase! Nothing to sneeze at but honesty compels me to say that I've held this for almost two and a half years...so maybe not so great but still rather good. Wish I had this performance out of every stock I owned.
Given the housing recovery and the advent of yet another municipal construction season, I am anticipating a further rise of nearly 50% across the next year. I'm putting MWA at $10+.
I wouldn't mind if MWA would increase their dividend a bit to an acceptable percentage...come on guys, time to grow up.
Mueller Water Products (NYSE: MWA) saw gains of more than 13% after the company announced earnings that handily beat expectations. The company experienced sales growth of 12.6% year-over-year (yoy) and swung from a net loss of $0.70 per share to a profit of $0.05. The company saw a 21.70% boost in the shipment volume of valves, hydrants, and brass products, thus pushing its operating margins higher by 670 basis points.
Here’s the thing, if Mueller Water Products would have seen zero revenue growth with the same margin growth I would have still said it was a “buy.” This company improved drastically, has double-digit growth, and is a very cheap stock with a price/sales ratio of just 0.90. I believe the uptrend for the stock is just warming up, and that further gains are to come as investors take notice of this company.
I see MWA pulling back to a resistance level of about 6.05. Its curently at 25 times earnings whichis high. Long term holders though will be rewarded with another 30-40% return in the next 18 months. Maybe 8 to 9.50 a share.
The R&D is a relocated facility, not really new. Not tapping into the pipe replacement needs. Mcdonalds has best managers?, Marines have the best managers. Auto companies in the past had the best, in the 40's and 50's. Agriculture business has the best, largest employer in US, they receive hundreds of billions in aid, they are below the radar, while turning over the most cash. Inventory of agribusiness is either on the ground, in a truck, or in the store, the perfect lean machine.
The surplus was real.
This is a bubble, enjoy it.
Wow my prediction from January has almost come true.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I predicted on my post of Nov 1 2012 $7.50 by middle of 2013 (How good am I and. How would I know that )
Could it be that I once worked for them ????
Awesome investment Kevin, that's how real wealth is created! Some of the investors on another stock board (SIRI) bought that at $.12, and they are still holding it like a wife! I like when the smaller investors make money, in September CNBC had some silly article "The Cult Of Equities Is Dead!" by CNBC and BIll Gross of Pimco. Two Thousand Points later and you proved those talking heads wrong by making a informed decision investing in Mueller, if the Economy keeps on cranking I bet you will see $10+ next year as we continue a multi-year Housing and Industry Recovery!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I just sold at $6.59. Woopee! Off to another pick. Bye!
The company will continue to increase profits and revenue over the next 4 years as the infrastructure of the US is in desperate need for an upgrade. Remember MWA was trading at 14.00 a share in 2007. We will eventually get there again.
congrats. I was lucky and started buying at 2.00 a share. You need to be a long. This is a great company
Wow, what a Hell of a Q, look for $7.50 soon!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
