You should have shorted on the pump-n-dump near $3, then covered below .30
Don't initiate a short now on a .90 stock. Don't own it either. Let the existing shorts add to their position and drive it to .30 for a Reverse-Split. There's far too many shares oustanding now. Wait for better management and BOD change before you buy imo.
IMHO: This stock is going to continue to go South/Southeast. The Pope cannot save it. From $44, 10 years ago, to less than a dollar now. 1-4 reverse slip in May 2013.
I have been to Cosi's restaurants few times. NO ENERGY THERE. How can I short this stock? I don't see "Options" as a valid item on Yahoo's fiance?
Sentiment: Strong Sell
"A company that burns cash and has no growth, has no value".
Svenkaris1 says " COSI has run thru $150 MILLION investor funds over 10 years."
If that is true, then this is one SCAREY stock. I would expect to see this on one of those creepy "American Greed" episodes on CNBC someday.
after 12 years these schiesters still haven't figured out how to squeeze a 5cent profit out of a cup of coffee and a sandwich! RJ is just another "yesman" for the wicked BOD and crew
Sentiment: Strong Sell
I never seen a company lose so much $$$ for so long and excuse after excuse for so long.... Look its simple....Its a restaurant.....You need good foods and it needs to be a value.....I think Cosi is catering to a certain group, an ethnic group, and instead of expanding the food offerings to bring in a more diverse group they are sticking to their guns....What they have is good but not nearly good enough.....Stick to your guns Cosi and go down with the rest....
front you entered this after all? Maybe stay away from all Attiva related investments ;) GL
It will get taken private for pennies on the dollar imo. Just too many shares now to ever move the EPS needle IF it was ever to turn positive. The growth in shares actually makes the negative EPS figure appear smaller. Nothing but an illusion.
RJ has NOT changed the lush manager and executive salaries at cosi... I'm guessing there are oodles of floor managers, mid managers, executive managers, and VPs... all with virtually nothing to do except collect large paychecks.. I mean the whole thing is nuts. The 0-2% gross margin tells me there are WAY WAY too many floor staff or lazy baffoons collecting large salaries with NOTHING TO DO but pick noses. Whenever I've seen a deli or sandwich shop gross $1 mill in sales, I ALWAYS saw at least $30,000 or more in profit. usually more like $50,000 profit. BUT Here is cosi with 80 stores with $1 mill sales apiece and they LOSE almost $190,000 per store... This is pure lunacy to have these HORRIBLE results of over 12 years now!
Did this RJ guy really think his stores are worth more than all the others stores combined? I don't like this guy at all. I smell a rat!
I wouldn't pay .90/share for this even after a 1:3 reverse-Split. Not with this guy calling the shots.
like I've said, there is little motivation now for RJ to improve things... He unloaded his MILLIONS in debts unto the bagholders shoulders. Even with horrific 2014 results as comparision , the sales still DROPPED. And even if sales were flat, inflation is running 5% a year in food business. ... IT's an awful story all around here. I wouldn't be surprised shortly to see RJ vanish "to pursue other interests"... similar to other cosi execs leaving recently.. Again , since RJ is now cleansed of his $10 MILLION debts, he is free to disappear at any moment and laugh all the way to the bank.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
The finger pointing never ends ...And now they are headed soon into the awful winter months... hahaha.. Endless line of b-s-tard ceos continues... The lavish and outrageous overhead and manager salaries are NEVER addressed here. this is the real cause of the huge losses, but they refuse to cut the insider gravy train.. I mean heck if each store averages $1 mill sales, they can't manage a 1% profit? hahah.. SEC needs to shut this down... RJ is not just another ceo here, he is the WORST thing imaginable... he is a shareholder wrecking ball. I've never before remember seeing a Sept quarter excuse , but RJ came up with one. And rest assured the next 2 quarters will be littered with weather excuses.
the weather, labor day, the pope lol - how about just that cosi is a pos who's never hired someone who's found a way to turn it around? They should've given the ceo position to the guy who offered to do it for free. At least they would've saved a salary
