It's frustrating, even for me, even if it's temporary, watching "them" evaporate 10,000+ from my account in only a week on no news (well bad news, plenty of good news like QCOR earnings) and low volume. Waiting patiently though.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
No need to be snarky. :) I just bite a bit everyday as I see good deals. After closing my merger arb, QCOR is back to being only a 10% position for me so a put here and a put there are not that insignificant.
Incidentally, also added to MCD and WMT today with long term calls and bought a few Berkshire Aug calls as a play on earnings. Still waiting for a 10% correction to add to many holdings.
Now that the price have shot up and back down to where it was before the bid. Do you think it's worth getting back in? Market apparently discounted/disregarded this offer completely.
yep - $MNK is getting way oversold here so if there is a near time spike I'm going at least scale some out. I think we are going up big right after the deal closes, but I'm surprised they have been able to take it down to these levels, being a little cautious instead of buying more calls
thanks for the information john, will see what Friday brings. if MNK goes down will probably pick some up. g/l tony
or sooner, if you sell on a big spike! a smart sell. you break even at 65 and there is enough time for the shorts to finish digging their own graves, just in case they prolong their agony.
I sold some puts yesterday - debated selling more today but was a bit aggressve yesterday and decided to wait. I also have MNK leaps. I still have some Q options, but the bulk of that money is LT as well.
sold my AAPL this morning and will buy some more MNK or QCOR when this market settles down or will re-enter AAPL. just waiting to see what shorts have up their sleeve but i think pretty soon shorts will be wearing sleeveless shirts. any thoughts on buying MNK for i have none yet? g/l tony
I don't know who red-thumbed this. You are one of the sharpest people on the board when it comes to Q - you were the one who sensed Q would drop a bomb on the shorts in January, and have been right about Q time and time again.
These shorts appear desperate to me - that tells me they are scared of deal closing, scared of the combined MNK. Any lows that come before the deal closes are opportunities, it seems to me.
