Anyone have any ideas about why the price is moving up so well today? I agree with other longs on this board that this is way, way underpriced and hope today's move is the beginning of a sustained upmove.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
MNGA could be getting ready to test its 12-month high of $1.83. Why? The company has just announced a major deal that will see it selling its MagneGas® to one of America’s largest transportation companies.
It is a waste of time to predict future pps and that $6-7 is the bottom.
I was hoping for a pop after the Pain Management presentation on May 14...
The only thing that matters is results.
Read where dimethyl fumarate is not patented only its dosage by BIIB So xnpt should have no problem using data already published in getting 829 to market
Yes. XNPT is way undervalued... AUD funded by the government, 829 will prove efficacious against psoriasis in ph 3, 829 is DMF which is proven to already work (tecfidera) and horizant sales pickinh up... wait for the run up in september. Wouldnt be suprised if it hits $10
DMF actually is a prodrug of MMF as DMF is metabolizes to MMF before entering the blood stream
They aren't even doing a ph 2 for MS. They are using the data from the psoriasis study and with approval from FDA, which they should get, they are going to ph 3. And DMF already treats MS. $5-$6 is more than a gift, its a god-send
This is not your typical small cap play. The institutions completely control this stock. When the stock goes down, it's like water torture. When you think it should go up, there is no way it will happen in a sustainable way until big institutional blocks come in on the buy side. So when you wonder why this stock goes down on small volume, it is for one reason--there is very little liquidity in this stock.
I argue that this is the best small cap play in a long time. Just pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. You see, there are traders that understand the illiquid nature of this stock. and they play the small investors like a violin. They shake them out on small volume. So if you buy this now, you could watch as the stock goes down painfully and continuously on small blocks. On the other hand, the tutes may come in and support, or the traders can bid the stock up 50cents on little volume. You never know, and retail investors are just fodder.
So advice is. Hang on. I believe the big institutions have made their bets for a reason. They know this is a ten-bagger if the MS drug reaches the finish line
If you can't handle the volatility(or a big loss if the MS drug is a bust), buy something that will make you sleep better.
They say it was seasonal (similar disappointing numbers same qtr last year) but we'll see. I originally bought (and sold it when valuation got stretched) XNPT because of Horizant (I use it and in combination with lower doses of Mirapex has done wonders for me for RLS). Growth has been good (not great), but the important point is the fact that they have grown revenues (and will continue to do so) establishes a floor of value that NXPT didn't have a year and a half ago. Horizaant is not going away, and will continue to grow (maybe not at the pace I anticipated).
Classical risk/return play, but unlike many other small companies, XNPT has a floor that is higher. I'll take a 40% downside/ 300+% upside bet. Consider if the Psoriasis drug becomes part of 'best of breed' MS treatments, this could be a ten bagger.
If everything goes well they will be able to start phase 3 MS also from the data from this psoriasis phase. Its safe to bet though this makes primary endpoint phase 2 but not secondary.. but Horizant breaking even.. ph 3 psoriasis... ph 3 MS... AP ph 2 with indivor... and Horizant AUD study being funded by the government.... $5.70 is a joke.
I've been doing the exact same thinking on this, and I think you're right that 5 would be the very lowest. Then the slow run-up will start (with all kinds of turbulence on the way due to the never-ending rate hike drama). As you implied, the upside for positive results is so huge, that there just HAS to be a decent run up. I'm already in at 6, and I intend to add more if we stay in the 5s.
the anticipation begins to build for the Psoriasis trial results (end of Q3). They walked the stock down to the 3's before the big run. How far can they walk it down this time? My guess is not long, and less than last time. Impossible to guess but I would imagine $5 is as low as it will go, but one never knows. I re-established a position Friday PM because timing is hard. Logic is--floor has been established with Horizant doing ~40MM in sales (although this Qtr was a disappointment). So if the trials fail, XNPT is still worth $4. If the trial succeeds, the upside is staggering because it means high probability that drug will work in MS. 1% market share=100MM revenue. You figure the math.
Lots of volatility expected as we near Sep30th leaning towards the upside as we get close. $5.70 will seem like a bargain the weeks leading up to Sep 30, and after that we'll see. Only caveat is "the fix in in" and some know the drug doesn't work. Hard to imagine but nothing ever surprises me. Good luck to all(longs).
Got to have an understanding of the drug 829 and the fact that the Baker Brothers not only bought 6% of the Co. I believe they also bought the $ 115 million convertible loan. The Baker Brothers know their investments in drug Co. and don't make mistakes often Holding xnpt at least until Sept to get the 829 results
