Yes the analysis basically says FB has maxed out when they have not even started to monetized everything they have and are taking share away from google. I agree that eventually fb will start to slow down but it is premature. Especially when the ad mobile market is predicted to grow much more in 2016 and beyond. Silly analysis.
FB will drop below $50.00 by next October. Sept is the worst investment in history.
You better watch out. I would sell everything today and tomorrow.
Wait for opportunity to get back on track again. Do it now today.
Sell everything and you hear me.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Sell FB, the market will drop in September. I will buy FB below $50.00 on October, 2014
Most likely will happen period.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
You are saying the comment is not about the relationship between the two companies and then you draw a relationship. I wholeheartedly agree that there is no relationship between the two companies values.
.....................But if you do want to know how they assign a value to Snapchat it works like this: In a round of founding and investor puts in a certain amount of money (like 10 to 100 million). The dollar amount invested is divided by the number shares and this is turn is multiplied by the total number shares outstanding. These are private shares since the company is not public.
Here is an example of a fictitious company batswamp. Bat swamp has 100 million shares. An investor puts in 100 million dollars in a round of funding. The investor gets 1 million shares. Based on this investment the shares are worth $100/share. Multiply this by 100 million shares and the company is valued at 10 billion. That is not to say that others would pay this price for the company but this is a way that the value of the company is being reported and that is exactly how they ascertain the value of the company.
Yes, Janney's theory is to sell now and buy back @ $82.50 there target price which they didn't change
when they downgraded fb. That's what they call reverse profit.
By the way, they are looking for managers; must have grammar school diploma and speak at least one
language, math as you can see, is no big deal.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
UFC177 Dillashaw v Barao II co main event with Castillo v Ferguson also the women are fighting Correia aka Pittbull v Baszler aka Queen of Spades
ok back to your regular scheduled nonsense
The comment was not at all about any relationship between the two stock. It was about valuation and the lack of a common method applicable in valuing different companies. If FB is valued at approx 200 B. it is based on factual past performance of its stock plus investor's speculative expectation of future performance. Snapchat has still to be IPO'd let alone being traded on fundamentals for people/market expectations of future performance, so what do you think warrants its valuation at 10 B ?
Gee let's see. Maybe he downgraded based on the fact that FB is valued higher than IBM or Oracle? 197 billion dollars for a website that decreases productivity across the world, serves no actual useful purpose, and a business model that advertisers will eventually reject all-together people the people who use it are mostly broke or only care about looking at pictures. Yeah I'd say it's a sell.
Sure...They are going to earn $3 per share next year, They deserve to trade at a 3 PE.
