Sold 250 shares today during the afternoon swoon. This wasn't a panic move, just the timing of family decisions. Wife agreed to buy out a family member share of an inherited vacation property, we're assisting a newlywed niece and her citizen-to-be hubby, time to buy the final kid car... just life stuff. So we're left with the last 244 shares.
I'm happy with how it's gone, this silliest and most successful trade. I admit to being a bit nervous about the last block. The charts look sort of scary, and the price keeps poking at 265-ish and falling away. Reminds me of Captain Quint in Jaws when he tells how he was most frightened after the seaplane had spotted them and he waited to be picked up. The company is definitely navigating tough waters, although not impassible. I'm thinking somewhere 275-300 we may call it a day.
Make no mistake: if you are considering a short position you need some tolerance for potential pain. This lobby and factory visit report by a so-called "analyst" looked like a junior college Business 101 report. But it got tons of favorable press. I think some interesting points were made but the response was predictably way overblown. So be warned. Any kind of REAL positive chatter could drive a spike that would really dent your account.

Come out to the car tonight, and was told that the car needs service ... Rest list both screens in the hope that this would help, but no change. Put the car in drive and tried to swing out of the driveway with my 21 "... Do not f ... Testing support for Tesla ... Does not take long before the car is remotely diagnosed and they say that the servo is dead ... Can not say I'm looking forward to driving it out to Tesla tomorrow, but have not no real choice, then the whole neighborhood would have gloated if it gets picked up on the flatbed ... Anyone else had problems with dead servo? know that clicking and that kind have occurred, but have not read about someone who has gotten completely out tonight?
IF Terdsla is going to supply Lithium battery packs for power storage to residential customers then will they be using a liquid cooling system, pumps, and fan forced radiator like in the Model S?
(They claimed that's important to keep the battery at the right temperature during charging and discharging)
If not, then we can expect some spectacular house fires!
Smoke, mirrors, and SMALL HIDDEN BATTERY to drive the cars on and off stage.
The battery swap was just a charade.
Perhaps for his next trick Ewon will do some spoon bending - that will go nicely with the gull wing doors and his velvet jacket.
It's now $104 a share. See ya at $10.40. Short this #$%$, and be rewarded. Managaements don't ever learn. What a shame greedy way of doing business.
11 years ago Nissan didn't make Leaf, now they do & sales increase every qtr. China didn't plan to invest $16B 11years ago, and now they do.
Cost of price per kWh was much higher than today and it's going to be cheaper...etc.
Look, It's bad by keep looking to rear_view mirror when you invest. You should look at the trend now & project into future. This is how stock price value. It's very dangerous to stay short at company like Tesla.
Sentiment: Strong Buy

Yeah .. that's what's happening alright. OPEC might as well throw the towel in. How can they make money now that Elon has pushed oil prices down to $100 per barrel?
BTW have you seen Exxon's cash flow - what a mess. Their operations only generated $10 billion dollars in cold hard cash last quarter. That's less than $1 billion per week. The situation is hopeless for oil.
Actually, the crux is that stationary batteries in Tesla's valuation are meaningless for years (even though the much revered Jonas opines they're worth $30/share in the next year.
Hey risc6k ... "Today was a preview of where this is heading tomorrow .... " ehhh ?!?
