Based on your numbers, how many shares of CDE and how many shares of PZG would someone have if they started with, say 10,000 shares of PZG?
.89 from what ahigh of 40.00-dilution and debt and unfinished expansion and recently ran into some bad ore that caused them to miss guidance -had to rauise funds at 1.00-unbelievable this story---
maybe franco leaked that to reuters this deal threatens their royalty with coeur-then again coeur is short mone, i was musing and thought it possible franco is in deal somehow a nsr or some form of package deal -
are you aware lex that 3rd quarter cde has brought its all in sustaining below first majetic and has protective put covering 1/3 silver production from 18 to 16 and gold 25,000oz a qarter from 1200 to 1000
also i hope you realize the amount of fuel and energy coeur uses-chemical down cyanide down 25% diesal and gas-rochestor a huge heap leach -mexico doesn't get much help because of there gas-but usa different story--now earlier i mentioned jualin deposit at kensington they hit bonaza grades a game changer mlti oz some i forget like over 11 oz per ton -with historical avg at this deposit was 1/2 oz per ton and it is hundred yds or so from wthe working mine-that is already producing 120.000oz a year at 950-not only greatly extends a 10yr mine life will make it very profitable and underground dilling is just starting-
the royalty deal lasts till sept 2016 at 400 -this old contract was also for 50% of total gold with a minimum of 50oz a year till 400,000oz - then went to flat 50% life of mine no minimum -as of sept 2016 the ob bligation is met and new deal is still 50% life of mine but no minimum and at 800oz from franco -the open pit and mill will run at full capacity while quadalupe gets finished -the open pit is winding down-so there is no immediate emergency that i know of -but these guys are planners
sorry about spelling and punctuation -always was lazy and uncaring about trvia but you get my point--been through some great rides with cde from 2009 when i bought at .56 never thought i would see this day without a stock market crash-
lex- ithinl a little abstract and do a lot of digging-there is a wildcard -francomight pony up with cash for a nsr -they could put it on whole paxckage annd do awa withroyalty-or scale it back -rember coeur is only taking miquel not sleeper that has all your gold oz's -that confused me that 5 1/2 %position cde has alot of cards to trade-seabridge after all was about real estate annd not production-also a nsr to new company on san miquel-cde just bought back a £5 nsr on preciosa a vewry smart move for 12 mill-imagine what£3% of 10million oz for 20yrs will have made-now nobody talks about it but there is lejano deposit found by yamana way back when it was a exploration co-they drilled got some very high grade ,it is in santa cruz also -they stated in 2000 that they thought there was 100mill oz-its still there cde got n43-101 about 6mill oz from coeur along with martha mill and deposit this is on care ans maintenance also from yamana -that had grades so rich they went straight to smelter-did you know coeur was offered 65 mill for there endeaver silver stream along with nsr cerro bayu which has doubled mine life since, then northair nsr, dynasty mineral nsr on zaruma and to kick it of el gallo from mcwen-----10% svbl 18% northair .4% pershing 1% orex--10% sol toro---i'm buying pzg to get cde shares---just waiting for a bad day and smoke to clear---
Well if anything this exercise shows how hopelessly low these valuations have gotten. It makes no sense for PZG to take any kind of deal at the bottom of the market.
CDE can always do an unfriendly hostile takeover offer.
That may be one way of proceeding.
Interesting idea, but I think they just got out of royalty deal so maybe their not thinking that way. Best most profitable thing for CDE would be to get a good price on San Miguel and own it outright.
Both First Majestic and CDE are terrific buys in the low $4 range. They will each triple as silver hits $ 24 per oz.
The only deal may be a JV whereby CDE gets a a portion of San Miguel ownership for some cash infusion to get San Miguel ore over to their nearby mill. That would greatly accelerate production. They need to do something next 1-2 years to keep the 6000 tpd mill running efficiently.
I think you are right. The problem is dilution. I don't think CDE can structure a deal with PZG that benefits CDE shareholders so I don't see how they can make the deal.
I agree that CDE is a great investment -- if silver ever move back to $28 they will be in great shape again.
$4.30 per share and only 43 cents pre split !!!
your myoptic silver was 28.00 then--first majestic beat cde to punch0this is big project ready deposit i would believe they had phillips on the way from ssri and who wasat paas when it had jv on this property-preciosa is a10million oz producer with huge land package-300 mill buildout it would cost that to build single project with 5,mill production-so cde out bid all share first majestic using 100 mill and shares the deal was accepted when cde shares were about 24-i think orco got 10.5 mill shares plus 100 mill -so in with present day share price-be about 150mill-when closed printed shares at 14 and vhange-it brought phillips/kennedy into cde management along with mitchell as cfo-now that was paas best team and taseko lost mitchell-right now drilling is looking for clavos that will help bring this on sooner there is 125sq mile land package-when that is producing 10milll oz for 20yrs for a 300mill build and a 150/270 cost-who will be laughing there are only so many deposits that size-hey keith numeyer wanted it and he was industry golden boy-cde now hols a small piece of orex ex orko - super pit and they are thinking of putting heap leach in to start to bring down costs-paas bought naid 500mill and mfn 1.6bill-at worst cde pays for up and running mine 600 mill and gains a buiding team that also built estanza minw for paas near coeurs santa cruz joaquin deposit with73 mill n43-101 hardly explored silver gold in prolific santa cruz ---when coeur bought orko at 28 silver wghat do you think investors on this board would have wanted-----i would hand in my shares at a loss to swap for coeurs asset at these prices-
what i did find interesting is rye patch proximity cde pays rpm about 30mill in form of nsr , and rpm is now .12 -if this deal goes through cde could buy rye patch recovering its nsr and gaining rye patch property -some which was given to them in settlement-i was tight with i/r then and she said it was worthless anyway but would make rye patch investors feel better---heres a thought franco gets threatened by pzg without any royalty and someplace comes into this deal and negotiates a nsr for whole package or something else to protect their 50% interest in palmarejo proper gold--maybe they leaked this reuters report-
