I just realized I had some short stock in dell that I totally forgot about. Does anyone know what happens now that it's off the exchange. Brain dead manouver for sure but any info would be appreciated ..
I got the cash for the shares this morning. There was a $38 reorganization fee for each of my accounts. Still waiting on the special dividend.
After buying a computer back in the mid 2000's and seeing what type of customer support and all the "unique" dell software .... I swore I would never buy anything from Dell ever again....Im glad the company is going into the toilet! Let me be the first to flush this piece of #$%$ company down!
my guess is it should show up in your money market account at your brokerage sometime before the end of this week.
we get a credit with dell for future purchases !!!!!!!!!! also on here wondering when.. I think we got the shaft just my opinion
If you look on the website, it can't be found. The 14 inch screen version. What happened? Anyone? Thanks in advance!..............
I guess you didn't know that two Jews invented copper wire by fighting over a penny.....
per Wikipedia - As is the case with all dividends, selling your stock prior to the ex-dividend date relinquishes your right to the dividend. The earliest you can sell your stock and still be entitled to the special dividend is the date the stock begins trading on an ex-distribution basis, or one day after the dividend date, on the ex-dividend date.
In simplest terms, the "record date" usually, but not always (because of the case of large special dividends), determines who is entitled to a dividend. The ex-dividend date always identifies who is ultimately entitled to receive a dividend.
