The vast majority of sales at Potbelly occur at lunch, so not surprising it was empty at dinner. This is not unusual for a sandwich shop. Dirty, rundown? What location was this? I find this hard to believe as I have been in dozens of stores and never seen one that was "dirty" or "rundown". I have a suspicion you are making this up. Please provide the specific location and I will verify for myself. By the way, the earnings are positive, so unlikely bk anytime soon.
I was in a Potbelly over the weekend. It was around dinner time.
What I saw was a sagging, failing business -- the place was dead. And it was dirty. Looked quite run down. And the usually nice restroom was a disaster. The employees looked beyond bored and could barely muster the energy to take my smoothie order.
$12 almost two years after their IPO is generous for this stock. If the store I was in is indicative of the rest of their system, these guys will be out of business in two more years. Time for new leadership of the sinking Potbelly barge.
No need for formalities. It's pretty obvious you cannot backup comments in your previous post....or you would have by now.
they often lease space next to chipotle or starbucks and they do half revenues. they used to do $1.4 Mil sales 10 years ago, but never made any money. this IPO was about unloading insiders.
u bite their sandwich 2-3 times and its gone. some soups taste like vomit. bread is delivered from bakery plant supplier in plastic bags. not a great value, but they are hanging because .because of good locations.
