If this company proves they have the UC formula right and working, they are going to be snapped up quickly.
Adjusted operating EBITDA (excluding O-P payout etc.) for the Q was ($380K) vs. ($1.9M) a year ago and ($1.3M) last quarter.
Long-term chart indeed tells the story of a sinking ship that have broken the hearts of many shareholders. But the legacy telephone business is probably what's been hurting, and entering VC could be the right strategy. Still early, but this company might be one in transformation. If that's the case, the stock might be close to a reflection point.
3Q13 result just out. Management's cost cutting and UC growth strategy seems to be playing out well. Adjusted operating EBITDA (excluding O-P payout etc.) for the Q was ($380K) vs. ($1.9M) a year ago and ($1.3M). So, it is progressing well toward management's goal of getting to positive by 1Q14.
For now, I would approach this stock as a volatility trade but also maintain a small core position. When it's becoming clearer that this can be a sustained UC leader I will have more conviction on it. Meanwhile will study this company more while I'm trading it.
Jayne, Please tell me more. What is he doing to take the company to the forefront? Are they selling services? What makes him good?
take a harder look at this company, especially the CEO..he is the smartest of the bunch and will bring this company to the forefront.
So I suggest that you just follow how well the company has executed by looking at their chart over the past five years and look at last years chart as well. In one of the greatest recoveries ever, their stock is down 50%! The BOD is solely responsible for their poor performance. They could be one of the worst performing companies during the recovery. They took a losing company, burning cash and decided...hey if we keep on doing this our poor long term shareholders (mostly ex-employees) will lose even more than the 65+% they have already lost. Since we are so brilliant, let's go into the competitive and hot VoiP business and we can compete with people who claimed their stake 5 years ago, have deeper pockets, are smarter and are actually making money for their shareholders. This company goes down to zero after the management and board milks the shareholders of their remaining dollars. Hitch your wagon to a winner, not a loser!
I found this company when researching Business VoiP Plays. Became more interested because I like going to Warwick. After doing a little digging I feel like this is going to be a VERY important Q for these guys. They get to keep the dividend cash and all the money they are generating from their old traditional CLEC, LATA, TV, etc. businesses, but will also (hopefully) show us some serious growth with their Hosted Voip, UCaaS, and SaaS businesses.
I haven't had a chance to compare their services to the likes of EGHT, RNG, VG, and WSTC just yet, but it looks like they are more interested in specific verticals. Which is a good way to go.
I'd like to get down to Philly to see their Interactive Demo Center one of these days.
Anyone have any first hand knowledge of these guys? I bought some shares pre earnings on the gamble that the income investors are gone and they growth investors don't know about this company yet. Now all we need is growth...
There is also that whole 50 million dollar thing with Verizon. Not sure I fully understand it, but that could be huge.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Who are you Beavis or Butthead...hehehehe. Let's keep this civil, this stock has been a disaster, I hope you make money on this dog but tread very carefully...hundreds of companies are in the wonderful "cloud", don't bet you life savings ...that's all.
