The problem for Qihoo is that users will still use many Baidu services (because Qihoo just doesn't offer them... Like Maps and Navigation) on the Dazen devices. They can't block it because users wouldn't buy the phone then. They just continue to force themselves into the market but I don't see how they gonna monetize their security software and search when the other players like Baidu and Tencent offer services users actually need and use every day.
Hey Pasta Fagioli and several aliases
I'm sure you are aware that the beloved Bruno left the world on Jan 31st 2014. His eulogy was posted on the Baidu board February 6th.It read as follows.
I'm sorry to have to be the one to inform the poster board of the sad news. Bruno's bud Samejunkdifferentidentity advised us a month or 2 ago that Bruno died in a Ford Maverick accident. Gas tank blew up and roasted him like Kentucky Fried and Randy's Ribs. For those of you that bought cars from profits gained from following his picks, I hope the cars were not either Pintos, Mavericks, Ladas, Corvairs or Vegas.
Bruno's sidekick, Samejunkdifferentidentity added: that condolences can be sent to Jellystone National Park and contributions should be made in his memory to the University of your choice.
His other follower, BooBoo, was seen recently sharing all the berries he accumulated for his boss, with the other bears at Jellystone. During the last few days, BooBoo has been seen running aimlessly around the park, Animal doctors feel that he may be looking for the Qihoo 360 poster board.
Company has already given guidence for this quarter. Now at 15 times forward earnings. Still has over 1 billion in cash. Nomura is extremely influencial. Don't disregard their call. Their last call was negative "no real catalyst" and the stock dropped a bunch. Now they say accumulate. Big boys are nimbling. Remember their are 40 million non institutional shares out there in the float. Obviously qihu has missed the mobile opportunity however it will catch up . Management has lots of skin in the game. Stock is way too cheap. May give a few more dollars but bottom is near
But the pumpers insist on posting ridiculous articles that have zero affect on the stock. QIHU is not going to see $90 again. May not even see $80. Go look at SINA's historical prices, all the worthless upgrades and its abysmal numbers quarter after quarter. Everyone in the business knows these numbers are doctored. That is why nobody is buying. Not this week, last week, next week or next month.
But some obscure company is going to take over Mobile with QIHU in China. While Apple sits there. Who believes this kind of drama?
18,000 to 17100. I'd call that a pretty hefty downturn. Don't tell Savvy. He will cry like a little girl.
Generational opportunity to accumulate. Nothing has changed from my previous posts. Continue to nimble slowly like the big boys. Momemtum players are almost done with this one
shooter, I'm just as frustrated as you are about this stock. I got stopped out of this POS too. I should've learned my lesson but stayed here listening to the longs and believing in this company. I still think it is a great company with great growth potential next year. I'll keep an eye on this one and will dip back in when they get their act together. GL longs
Creed, I got out today. I've been a long for a while and there's gonna be more pain for the longs. There was no reason for the SP to have fallen this hard without any bounce or support from mgmt. GL to ya
Nothing more than funds dumping their losers, and getting it off their books to start the new year. Question is does it continue right up to the new year. That could be another 2 weeks of pain. Either way, I'm going to start to nibble at this one.
We need to start looking at the forest and not just the trees. In 6 months to a year this stock and many others will be in a very different place. Why? Well.............
"Lower oil prices are a massive positive for U.S. and global growth," says Doll adding that "the positives to consumers, manufacturers and airlines, outweigh the negatives to oil producers."
