CAIRO (Reuters) - Coca-Cola Co (KO.N) expects to start production in five new factories in Egypt and Pakistan over the next 18 months, seeing double-digit percentage growth in sales for both markets this year, its Middle East and North Africa president told Reuters.
The U.S. soft drinks maker's investment is a particular boost for Egypt, which is desperate to attract foreign direct investment after three years of political and economic turmoil that has seen its foreign currency reserves shrink and budget deficit swell to around 14 percent of GDP last year.
WEB should be outraged over the compensation structure over here. They are paying people like Jennifer Finley (HUGE sums of money) who is the devil and runs a concentration camp. Everyone that works for her is miserable and can't wait to move on. It would be one thing if she added any value, but unfortunately, she is not very bright.
just last month NWGC took off after Hulk Alerts (google them) announced it as their next big pick. So glad i bought, even though i sold early i still made 140% on my investment! Highly recommend them.
maybe the healthy ones are immune from the Neuro Toxins after building up immunity over years of small daily dosages, just guessing.
Anything is possible. I see it this way, Berkshire has a ton of cash ($49 billion) and nearly unlimited access to cheap capital. Last year Buffet was able to float a 5 year bond at 140Bps, I don't need to tell you that any tranche he floats that's less than 10 years, will likely be substantially below the current dividend outlay. Anything further out will likely be under 4%.
The WSJ has noted that private equity is sitting on record levels of cash, so a partnership or consortium could get a deal done.
it might also be noted that WEB is not getting any younger and may want to do a lifetime defining deal burnishing his reputation for posterity.
Personally, I don't think it happens, it would make more sense to target a large private company like Mars, SC Johnson, Bloomberg, etc.
One thing is for sure, Winters prediction and comments are really not far-fetched.
No problem, Warren, pay me $50 and my shares are yours. I'll just buy more Unilever :-)
From Kass this morning: KO trading up this AM - Activist investor Winters says Coca-Cola may be taken private; believes Berkshire/ 3G may consider the prospect
If Coke is so poisonous, why are there so many perfectly healthy individuals that have drank Coke their entire lives?
Since they haven't bought out GMCR yet, I have a feeling that they don't plan to. They seem to be very hesitant about it.
