There was other digital player on the market before Apple introduce the Ipod.
Celluon could be the same as ATT was with FlashPac or others and introduce the first focus free laser picoprojector before Sony does.
I'm not affraid that Sony is not introducing the first one.
Celluon weakeness is in marketing. They have some strong qualities but marketingly taking Sony is well in advance.
I've learned in Administration course that marketing is around 70% of the cost to introduce a blockbuster.
When Sony will deploy something similar to the picoair/picopro you would no be abble to miss it.
That said. There is room for alot of companies in the focus free handheld HD picoprojection. (Hopefuly using mvis picop of course)

adchop, have you been living under a rock since February 2014, when Sony announced that it planned to sell it's module to other OEMs?
Sony does the same thing when it both sells it's imaging chips to Apple and others, and uses them in Sony's own products.
That would be my thinking. Sony releases something, then lets anyone who bought their module release after. If it's in there it would account for the no Xmas release. If Sony had at first intended to release something at Thanksgiving. As for "off the shelf", it's my understanding that Mvis sold off all their inventory for peanuts, and if Pioneer had the dies, and parts could be collected to build more, that would be new inventory and subject to announcement, if they got sold. Entre is probably right in that Sony is providing the modules, if Mvis is inside, and I can't see them letting someone else release a product before they do, even it it's a lessor iteration. It's all conjecture though. The one thing we can be sure of, is we don't know much of anything at all, lol, because we don't get much guidance.
Sweets, if it records too, then we'll know for sure!
It has to be, it's auto focus. Unless someone else has an engine that is focus free?
Without a PO or licensing agreement in place, one can only assume we are not inside celluon. STM and Lemoptix have been very quiet as well. STM is extremely PR savvy...yet nothing. If Sony allows celluon to introduce "their" module first, they must not think too highly of it.
adchop, the only possibility if it's ours for it to be acquired via Sony.
There's no PO announced and, as such, it's impossible for Celluon to have purchased inventory directly from MVIS.
Sony is being secret -- requiring MVIS and Celluon to maintain confidences.
Or, it's not PicoP-based at all....although I think it is.
Thats why I think its the off the shelf module. Sony has their own timeline for their modules with Sony's software tech. The celluon device lines up with Alex's statement of a holiday product...give or take a week or two.
"•Requires 6 hours per day using Microscopes for the next month + ◦High power binocular and med-low power stereo-zoom scopes."
Interesting that this job is being performed in Redmond, not in some Asian locale and only for a month.
Could this be quality control for some newer component?
Exciting times for MicroVision Longs.
That's a pretty heavy wink! Tho not following Sony, you might also notice.

Paul, please announce it here. Thank you very much! I do not use Facebook, google+, Twitter and such web sites.
I can't believe we don't know for sure whether they're using PicoP, after all, they do say it's a laser pojector, who else besides Microvision has a laser pico projector?
Roll tide! OSU shouldn't even be in the playoff. If they played either TCU or Baylor, vegas would have them as dogs. Bama will roll big. Notre Dame 2.0
