  • Harvest Soul Organic Chewable Juices Signs Distribution Agreement With America's Premier Certified Organic Distributor®

First-Ever Usda Organic Line of Chewable Juices Prepares for National Expansion, Signs Distribution Agreement With United Natural Foods, Inc

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Feb 9, 2015) - Fresh Promise Foods, Inc. (OTC PINK: FPFID), a Georgia-based natural and organic health and wellness company, announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Harvest Soul, Inc., maker of organic chewable juices, signed a national distribution agreement with United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI). UNFI is a leading independent national distributor of natural, organic and specialty foods and related products, including nutritional supplements, personal care items and organic produce. This agreement with UNFI, together with Harvest Soul's recently launch of its line of healthy chewable juice products in Whole Foods Markets, will allow Harvest Soul to have its products carried by multiple natural retailers beginning in late spring.

In addition to distribution services, UNFI also provides a range of innovative, value-added services for their customers and suppliers in efforts to foster mutual success and growth. Their services include marketing and promotional tools, merchandising, category management and store support services.

Kevin P. Quirk, Fresh Promise Foods CEO and Harvest Soul President, said, "Paramount to success of any consumer products company is distribution and in-store execution. United Natural Foods is by far the biggest distributor in the natural and organic space. Along with servicing more than 400 Whole Foods Markets, they support several thousand other small and large retailers that match up very well with the Harvest Soul brand story. We see this partnership as the first step in helping Harvest Soul grow into a solid national brand with significant retail presence."

  • this company has one.

  • at 50 mil shares, when the margin increases we will probably see big time returns imo.
In the mean time we can keep trading these giant swings.

    "Margin erosion will kill them"

Are you referring specifically to the Food Service segment or the entire business?
Margin erosion is nothing new and is expected given the changing customer base, with super naturals and "basic" supermarkets becoming a larger portion of sales, but sales and income are increasing and I remain positive on UNFI.

    Margin erosion will kill them

    Sentiment: Sell

  • The Food service segment is an area I expect to greatly aid UNFI with is future growth.

"Supermarket sales increased 30.6% in the first quarter and represented 27% of total sales. Supernatural channel sales increased 16.5% and represented 33% of sales in the first quarter of fiscal 2015. Sales growth in the Independent channel was 23.8% and it constituted approximately 33% of total sales. Food service comprised approximately 4% of total sales and increased 60.4% in the first quarter."
