  • at 50 mil shares, when the margin increases we will probably see big time returns imo.
    In the mean time we can keep trading these giant swings.

    "Margin erosion will kill them"

    Are you referring specifically to the Food Service segment or the entire business?
    Margin erosion is nothing new and is expected given the changing customer base, with super naturals and "basic" supermarkets becoming a larger portion of sales, but sales and income are increasing and I remain positive on UNFI.

  • The Food service segment is an area I expect to greatly aid UNFI with is future growth.

    "Supermarket sales increased 30.6% in the first quarter and represented 27% of total sales. Supernatural channel sales increased 16.5% and represented 33% of sales in the first quarter of fiscal 2015. Sales growth in the Independent channel was 23.8% and it constituted approximately 33% of total sales. Food service comprised approximately 4% of total sales and increased 60.4% in the first quarter."
